This deal works out at £1.83 per litre / £1.03 per pint.

The current Tesco deal of 36 x 284ml bottles of Stella for £16 works out £1.56 per litre / 89p per pint.

Better deal at Tesco Becks 66cl buy 2 get 1 free = £3.36 or £1.12 a Bottle
Buy 9 = £10.08 which is the same as 18 X 33cl Bottles (£1.02 a Pint)
Please do not confuse these with the Becks 275ml bottles they taste far superior
Stella made in the UK under licence does not compare with this Imported Becks

Are you seriously suggesting that the people at the Becks brewery in Bremen fill the 66cl bottles with a different lager to that they use to fill the 275ml bottles? I guess it's possible, but I can't see it myself.

It is NOT what you see it is what you taste. Everyone I know who has compared them side by side can notice a differerence. I never buy 275ml bottles. The 275ml bottles all come here everywhere else has 33cl (they are O.K.). It just doesn'nt taste as good as it should out of a 275ml bottle in fact I'd rather have it out of a tin.

15 x 330ml = 4.95 litres = 8.71 pints.

I typed the price per litre wrong, as it is actually £1.82 per litre (to the nearest penny), but the price per pint I quoted is correct, i.e. £1.03.

I'm not sure why you bring up the issue of this Stella not being imported from Belgium. Nobody on this thread has claimed it is and whatever way you look at it, the Stella in the bottles at Somerfield is the same as the Stella in the bottles at Tesco. Therefore the fact that Tesco is cheaper is directly relevant to this thread, whereas speculation about other lagers is neither here nor there.

1 Pint is 58.826cl (I thought it was 60cl) so 15 x 33cl=495cl divide by 58.826 = 8.41 pints so both of us were wrong. I recently got a box of 20 x 250ml bottles of "made under licence in the UK" Stella opened 2 of them drank them and gave the rest away. I'll stick to the Large bottles of Becks or the 33cl ones out of Costco

Just to be clear, you were wrong the first time and you are wrong again here. 1 pint = 0.568 litres. As I said, the price I quoted for this deal of £1.03 per pint is correct.

IT DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME - by your logic draught, bottled and canned beer must all taste the same if they are made by the same brewery.

By my logic, a 66cl bottle filled with a lager will taste the same as a 275ml bottle filled with the same lager. My logic does not extend to anything other than bottles. My sensibility does not extend to trying to reason with people who do not understand the basic principles of logic, so I'm going to leave it there on this one.

"will taste the same as a 275ml" a theory that is not based on experience.
