15% Discount added to refurbished laptops purchased online, no code. @ Dixons
Hi, first deal.
I just ordered a refurbished laptop at Dixons, added to cart, went to check out, choose the next day £3.99 delivery, then it gave a discount of the below
http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-g6-1241sa-refurbished-15-6-laptop-red-12263569-pdt.html
Order subtotal £349.99
Discount remove£-52.50
Delivery £3.99
Total
(Including VAT) £301.48
I am not sure whether this is just rerurbs, but I did add another refurbished laptop, and it added the discount again.
Thanks
Lulu
Note that works with standard delivery as well (you still get discount and is free delivery).

There was a thread on here about this laptop as well.
It works out at £322.99 after the discount is applied.
I would buy it but my current laptop is not much worse and I would only upgrade to a superior laptop :)
Anyway, good spot OP! Heat added.
all the negative comments about them being refubs... you have 7 days to take it back to your local store for a refund, worth a punt

Intel® CoreTM i5-2450M version
It does have a better processor but only just as the AMD one can be easily overclocked which you can see from the thread that I linked to. The major difference though is the graphics card. It is well superior to the integrated HD3000 that comes with Intel i5 processors ;)

just over £500
So tempted by this one but lots of negative reviews about the laptops wireless card.
That's a £10 component out of a £600 laptop. If it's broken - get it fixed under warranty. If it's just poor, buy a better one!
I've had a couple of refurbs from Dixons before - they were both excellent and served me well for as long as I had them (until I upgraded). So I can't vouch for their after sales service, but only because I've never needed it!
I was looking at a HP DV7 for £600 before, but it was out of stock for ages and then disappeared from the website. Now there's a better one there for £700 which comes down to just under £600 with this discount, so I might go for it! Will have to see how much I can get for my current laptop first...
I've read that gfx card isn't amazing, screen isn't the best ... Let's see what I think.
I'm not sure why you'd even try but I can't say I'm unhappy about it.
Thanks for the heads up OP!
'On a personal note' - that's exactly what it is, personal. You just want a computer for internet access, so of course that spec is fine for you. Other peoples' personal requirements will be different. Some people will want to play games, and you wouldn't be able to play a lot of games with just 1gb of RAM. Some people will use their computers for work, and they might be photographers, video editors, animators, modellers or programmers and a lot of the software they use will require higher specs.
If you only need internet access, then great, you could spend £2-300 on a nice laptop that will last you until it breaks down 10 years later. If you need it for work, you might get frustrated running the programs you need on 1gb RAM because they won't run smoothly, or at all. Regardless of your requirements, 15% off is a nice discount!

Very nice. I've got a PB AIO (i3 2100, 4gb ram, 1.5tb) in the home study/office, Angry Birds and Popcap games are fantasic on it. You're gonna love it.
Thanks for the heads up OP!
Nice spec but surprisingly no HDMI

I checked and it should have one:
"Video interface 1 x HDMI"
EDIT: Unless you're talking about the Toshiba, which I didn't get for that reason and a couple of others...
