  The dv6 as its got blue tooth for linking your phone exstra and its a complete alround system, Thats what I whent for.

  I'd get the hp g6 a8 quad core.. Very good for gaming on a budget £322 save the extra on the i5 for a ssd
  
  Btw I'd never pic a laptop due to Bluetooth you've gotta ask your self how often you going to use it.. And if it's a lot why can't a £1 dongle do instead...

  i understand what your saying cigbunt, Bluetooth doesn't bother me chances are i wont use it. However how much better is the 2nd gen i5 and usb 3.0, do these things warrent the extra money?.. id imagine the graphics will probably be worse for games but not terrible since its still dedicated memory?.. really stuck on choice!

  I've just sent back a HP Pavilion g6-1384ea Refurbished 15.6" Laptop - Charcoal as the screen was dead on arrival and also the non-std box label said it was 4GB version rather than the 6gb as per the spec (I didn't open the machine to physically check).
  
  Will ring up tomorrow to either get the discount applied or cancel the whole thing to reorder again.

  Rang customer services today, as I still haven't received any email regarding an update on the order for the HP DV6.
  
  Was then told that the order is "pending a security check" and that I should receive a phone call from Head Office regarding this. This is despite the fact that the order was placed on Sunday night.
  
  According to the website, the laptop is still in stock. I'm somewhat sceptical, and think I'm about to become a victim to their notorious "customer service."

  Great, I post the deal and my laptop comes faulty, when i turn it on, it says Windows has failed to start a recent hardware change might be the cause.

  I ordered the hp dv6 as well on Sunday night and I phoned them this morning as I have had no confirmation and was told it was also to do with the security checks. They said I should get confirmation some time today but I have not heard anything yet.

  I have ordered the HP dv6 and received a phone call(which I did not pick up,as was out) and further email asking me to contact them.I did as was told and was informed that it was a security check,once completed recieved an email confirming completion of order........should be arriving tomorrow.:)

  Not a good sign that these are the 'pretty much new' refurbs everyone seems to talk about then...this is the model I ordered :(
  
  I will need to give the thing a good look over when it arrives...
