£2.39 online for free range or £1.45 for 15 value eggs

no doubt this will go uber hot before we discover it was a store specific clearance that lasted 5 minutes! :p

The funny thing with eggs is that you have no idea what you are actually buying. I know this story is isolated - but its true.

I was in Sunbury Tesco and I saw chavvy looking man take a box of value blue stripe eggs and filled it with free range eggs putting the blue stripe eggs into the free range box and back onto the shelf!

chav might as well have put them in his bag then as what he was doing is basically theft.

Eggs are marked so if you really want you can check them.

If it has 1 printed on the egg then it's free range

Cracking deal, Now i wont have to shell out as much for my eggs.

since the supermarkets changed their free range egg packaging to look like regular/caged packaging I conclude you've really no idea what eggs you are buying. still wouldn't stop me from buying free range, but then too it doesn't stop dave with his egg printing machine knocking off eggspensive fakes.

Worse, it meant the customer who then bought the free range eggs was buying the battery eggs against their knowledge and paying a high price for the privilege.:x
