15" LCD Digital TV for £129.99 less 5% quidco = £123.49

I know that this is probably not as good as the Argos one @ £99.99 BUT this one is in stock ( as is the Argos one now it's gone up to £149.99!! ) This is the best I can find......

OR 15" LCD Digital TV with built in DVD for £179.99 after quidco £170.99

Both are UMC which I am not familiar with but, as with most purchases, they both come with a standard 12 month guarantee.

Please not the contrast is 450:1 NOT 400:1 as stated on the website...........
- simon012

Looks like the code works now.....
Use code YAW850 to knock a further 5% off
£129.99 less 5% = £123.49 less 5% quidco = £117.31

Why is it a "neg deal"? I presume you can show me where to purchase a 15" digital tv for less?

I thought that may be the case after viewing you thread "cold vote petition"
It was not clear to me what you were saying though.
I am quite happy for this to be a negative deal as long as people post their "better" deals on here ( before I order one of these )
You have my vote for the cold vote petition by the way..........

Sainsburys currently have a 15" widescreen Acura with Nicam for £109.99

Ebuyer have at least 2 15" tv's under £100...

That was just from a quick search.

As pointed out by myself and ms01ma THIS tv is DIGITAL ( Ie it has a built in freeview ) NONE of the TV's mentioned above are digital and therefore are not the same. If this is the reason this thread is -22 and getting colder, then I give up. If you are going to vote cold I think it only reasonable that you READ the deal and have a valid reason for your cold vote ( The main reason, in my eyes, being that you can locate the SAME product CHEAPER elsewhere ) :x
#12
can understand your point. It's too easy to negative vote any deal.
You took the time, made the effort and the deal gets zapped.

Also, you need lots of CAPS, write "Hurry Quick" in the title and put lots of exclamation marks to reach the front page !!!!!! lol

Looks a good deal after the Argos ones went back up to £150...

Must be some Currys codes kicking about to bring it down a bit...

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5291900.htm

For anextra £20 you can get a 19" High Definition Ready TV.

Which is 1000:1 contrast + has a HDMI port.

I bought it wednesday. Worth every penny [it can be substitued for a 500:1 contrast, but the 1 i got was 1000:1]

cold sorry

i voted cold

it just doesnt seem like a good deal compared to the argos one under a week ago,yes its not available for that price now but a few days ago you could get a tv like this for £99 why would i think £30 more for a similar tv is hot now.

the way i look at it christmas is coming you will find one cheaper in a few days/weeks.this deal just doesnt seem hot/warm to me

hope you can see where im coming from

p.s

The argos deal was VERY limited ( I am guessing just to get people interested as there is PLENTY of stock now ) These two tv's are the best available NOW as far as I can see. Having said that I am tempted to wait as you suggested and hope for a better deal before xmas..............

I voted cold, with reasoning.

Which TV would you rather have?

A High Definition 19" Widescreen

or

15" LCD.

For the extra £20.

At least i posted after voting cold unlike the other 100.

PSH.

Voted cold because LCD TVs of this sort of size are pointless. They take up less space, true, but the image quality isn't as good as a CRT, and you can get a CRT 15" for a tenner.

It's THIRTY POUNDS more.
The tv I want is for the bedroom, I see no point in buying an lcd tv to stick it on a freeview + dvd player ( hence I was looking for a DIGITAL TV )
Personally I have no use for a HD TV ( I know that this may be different for other people )
So again I would pick the DIGITAL 15" TV as it meets my personal requirements.
Thank you for posting ( "unlike the other 100" )
PSH? ( sorry not familiar with this )

Where can I get a CRT 15" for a tenner? ( and what is one?? )
Also I do not see a comment on the "pointless 15" lcd tv" on the argos tv thread............

I've added some heat for you.

I think this is a good deal for a digital tv. Many people look for this size to have in bedrooms or kitchens. I personally wouldn't by an analogue telly anymore and so many of the cheap lcd's posted here aren't digital.

sorry, it wasn't really "question" just pointing out that it is NOT A DIGITAL TV ( which is what I wanted and, despite the cold votes, do not not know anywhere to get one from CHEAPER )

You found the TV with DVD + FREEVIEW this post is for both that and the DIGITAL one @£129.99. Also your post ( which I did not see ) was in Deal Requests this has been posted in "Cold" deals.....
Have you puchased what you wanted ( or found it cheaper? )
Thank you anyway......

i was explaining my reason for not voting at all.if you go through quidco and also use the 5%discount code you will take price down to approx£160 for the tv dvd combo. i have not found one cheaper yet but i know i will and if i can get a 19inch digital combo for lss than £200 i will go for that instead because the screen area is approx twice the area of a 15inch screen

Have you got a new 5% code As I could not get the old one to work?
I would possibly go for the 19" digital combo aswell if under £200 ( cheapest I can find at the moment was £239.99 I think )

Cancel the post above the code YAW850 is working now ( would not work yesterday ) Takes a further 5% OFF prices..........

Simon012, get off your high horse you idiot... if people want to vote cold, they can, they don't have to gove you a reason, doesn't mean they don't have one...

When people do have a reason they get shouted down by you because you don't agree with their reason. If someone thinks a 19" HD (without digital) for £20 more is a better deal, thats their choice NOT YOURS so let people have a say without trying to shout them down for once.

I do not "shout anyone down" I just put accross my view and I do not have a "high horse".
The price difference between the two tv's is THIRTY POUNDS not TWENTY.
People who vote cold do not have to give a reason, and therefore I appreciate those who do.
Thank you for your input ( but I am quite sure there is no reason for personal insults!!!! )
