Don't know if it's any good or not, but it's been this price for at least 2 months now. :)

Welcome leroy - it helps to put more information in thread titles, something like "Alba 15" LCD Television - £79.99 from Asda". :)

For this price i'd expect to have Freeview included. Also the remote will only change channel.
Alba stuff is pretty dire in my experience.

I have to give it cold.

i had this tv with the built in dvd player, it does its job

No VGA (D-Sub) input on this? Bit of a shame as the 1024x768 res is perfectly suited.

Not interested as it doesn't have a digital tuner so I'd have another box taking up more space + the extra costs as I don't already have one but still voting hot. Good for kid's bedroom for use with a DVD player or basic games console.

Im appalled by the appaling quality of £ 2,000 plasma / lcd tv sets....

I shudder to think what the quality of this one will be !!

light greys as blacks, and hologram type viewing surface - nice !!!

I bought a 15" mikomi LCD TV with Freeview and a fully function remote for £99.99......... AND that was over a year ago.
This Alba aint no big deal.... and it certainly aint a cheap deal...
Try looking around on the net.... There has been loads of 15" LCD TVs with Freeview for under £100.

Seems to be a trend on HUKD at present of people claiming "loads" of better deals exist with no proof - how about posting links to a few of these "better" deals before making claims.

In some ways the quality will be better than more expensive bigger sets due to the smaller screen.

It's true, stretching a low-res image (i.e. standard def broadcasts) to high resolution, large screens is why LCDs/Plasma look bad with SD feeds. The problem isn't the sets, it's the poor quality of signal/source on them. Feed one a Blu-ray disc and prepare to be amazed.

This should fair better with TV because the image isn't being stretched so much.
