dont forget analogue tuner...so if you're going digital soon...you'll need a cheap freeview box...sky...to see tv....probably see more of these over the next few months as the digital rollout rolls on....nice find though....hot

Nice price but it's not widescreen is it? The picture would be tiny when watching in widescreen.
#3
Good price, though not widescreen so remember that a lot of progamming is widescreen so will be shrunk down even more on an already small screen, can't really see this having any long term use, then again it is £71.25 so heated for price alone

Checked it out, but as its so small, no real use. Not really for a bedroom, more a toilet size lcdtv
#5
Good deal for an occassional/bedroom TV.
For less then £20, buy a scart Freeview adaptor
#6
Not a bad size for use with a PC. I am still suing a 14" with mine.

Never mind spending too much money, id be more worried about the amount of time spent on the khazi if you want a telly in there!

Handy as a second monitor / TV.
I will replace my old 14" crt in the compyter room, that runs in the background.

Thanks

This and the Argos set are awful TV's........dont waste your money, I wouldnt have one if they sold them for under 50 quid, in all honesty in this instance you really do get what you pay for.

my brother has one of these and the picture is really really horrible. i think he gave it away in the end
#21
I know Argos have the Mikoni reduced fro 119.99 to 79.99, they also have a 15 inch mikoni reduced from 150 to 75 (built in freeview) on Managers Special in Regents Road Salford, much better, and space to add top-up tv card. Much better and loads in stock, not in catalogue though!

added heat

has anyone's shown as despatched yet? mine is showing as processing still..... i've had 2 e-mails from them but am awaiting a third apparently...

Funny how times change. When I was about 15 (25 years ago) a 14" B&W for the bedroom was quite a luxury. Our 22" in the lounge was bigger than average.
Now 15" LCD quality is considered too small for the bedroom, and come on, admit it - who has a lounge TV smaller than 32" (in fact our 47" rear-rpojection in the lounge is startnig to look small!)?
#25
A friend of mine is a store manager with Argos in the North East who sell the Mikoni set. They have had loads of returns for refund and just cant shift them hence the big reduction in price. I suspect the Currys TV posted here is for much the same reason. The fact is they are absolute rubbish and the heat awarded on this deal is unjustified. A cheap price is only half the story, it must also be a good quality item to call it a deal worth having.

100% agree, although I feel slightly sorry for you having an Argos manager as a mate

Just to inform everyone, although the tech spec specifies that the unit has a pc input (VGA), it doesnt. The picture quality isnt award winning, but lets face it; if you are expecting bravia quality for under 100 squids you might need your head looking at by a professional person....:w00t:

the unit also comes with a wall bracket that will mount the unit flush onto a wall.

Dont expect bravia quality for that sort of money or any other leading brand you might care to mention...........do however expect something that can be called at TV worth having and of course wont pack up after six months. Waste of £70. If you can sacrifice the space saving nature of a small flat panel your money would be better spent on a good CRT.

I bought one similar as a PC monitor and (very occasionally) watch TV or DVDs on it. Excellent if you have a smallish desk in your bedroom. Who needs a 19" LCD widescreen PC monitor?
#31
Had the cheap Mikoni from Argos for 5 months now and still working really well with no problems....
