Saw these Akura TV's and whilst they arent the best around, a bedroom widescreen with region free dvd player seemed quite handy. Havent got one yet, so can't comment on whether it can be used as a PC screen too (I imagine it has the inputs, but can't find the TV on Sainsbury's website).

I take it this was an 'in store' offer? :?

Like you mentioned, you can't find them on the Sainburys web-site - and come to that clicking on the link, doesn't give us any joy either....

I was afre something similar to this (no doubt to watch Tom & Jerry on) but haven't seen the same deal in any of my local Superstores etc..... So this makes me wonder if it is a regional or local offer....

Ho hum.

They do sell a nice line of Whiskers mind!:-D

I went to my local sainsburys - and all they had was the 15" AKURA LCD TV (No built in dvd) for £99.99.

They did however have an AKURA 19" LCD TV With DVD (HD Ready) for £169.99. Ive reserved one, and going to pick up Monday - providing I dont find a better batgain in the meantime!!!

Can anyone beat/match this?
Is it a good deal for a LCD/DVD?

Also, anyone recommend a wall bracket for this??

A set top free view or sky box will make any tv digital compatible, why do so many people get hung up about going digital.

Half-price wall bracket in Sainsburys down to £9.99

They also sell Sony Bravia LCD tv`s 32" down to £449.99 and 26" down to£349.99

Also staff are getting 15% discount at moment, so if you any-one who works there you could get a bargain

Much easier if freeview built in cheaper to run too
