Crikey.

I recall my first Flavorwave costing me £250 many years ago.

This does the same job in almost the same way, at 1/10th the price.

Just about to get the kitchen re-done so this should stand us in good stead and may prove a more economical alternative to the standard electric element oven.

The hinged lid models are much more practical.

In terms of cooking times, how long would it take to do some sweet potato fries? In my oven it's taking 25 odd minutes and they still come out slightly under.

Worth the extra over the little counter top grill someone has posted on here. We recently got a halogen oven. It's brilliant!

Only thing they're poor at is cooking pizza's,unless you don't mind a soggy bottom.......... BOOM!!!!

Voted hot. I have a very similar model from Aldi but its not as good as my other oven which has manual settings. The annoying thing about the Aldi model is the settings are electronic and the temperature starts at 60c, when I usually cook at 200c, and the timer is set at 60mins, whereas I mostly cook at 10/15mins. Consequently I have to reset every time which is more time consuming than setting the manual one. These ovens offer great savings in cooking time and energy.

Another problem with the Aldi one is that one of the sprockets of the lid handle pops out sometimes, which is very dangerous if the lid is hot! I agree that the hinged lid is much safer but those models are usually more expensive; don't see why.

Bought this one. Starting temp is 120c and time is 10mins. Good deal thanks OP.

Thanks, Matt007. Looks as if others may have commented to Aldi about the starting settings.
