I wonder if this would be any good for PCB solder reflow. I've seen a couple of projects using ovens like this with custom temperature control units, though if the built in one is accurate enough it may work out of the box!

I'm slowly buying all the kit for home pcb making, the ability to do tiny smt devices or even bga would be great!

I'd be worried about it getting hot enough quick enough, 217C is the temp at which the paste I was gunna order reflows which is quite warm for an oven of this size with this wattage to get.
There's a guide here http://www.reprap.org/wiki/Toaster_Oven_Reflow_Technique for a £26.99 one from Argos using an arduino! Which sounds right up my street!

Tempting, but only comes with 1 grill rack, whereas with 3 heights you'd think they'd throw in a couple more. What's this 'reflow' business all about,
