Decent deal for those looking for a break in Turkey when it's not sweltering heat!

15 nights in Eftelya Apart Hotel, Ovacik (other hotels can be booked for a few quid extra!) with return flights from London Stansted.

Visit Travel Republic, search for holidays. Put dates 16th April return 1st may, Select flight for £56 and then choose hotel.
This includes 10KG of hand luggage each (check - in bags can be added for extra)

Transfers can also be added for £9 return, this of course will push the price up slightly, but still a cracking price.
Might not be suitable for everyone but, i'm sure someone will find it useful, if only for the flights :)

like this part of Turkey, quiteclose to Hisaranu which has plenty of nightlife/ restuarants etc.

Stopped in ovacik a few times and liked it there, easy to get around on dolmus to fethiye ,olu deniz and hisaronu, plenty of places to arrange boat trips ,jeep safaris etc. we are off down the road to calis beach in may for 11 nights

I normally book flights and hotel separately , I use trip advisor for reviews on hotels and resorts, booked flights with monarch just over a week ago and with discount code worked out £105 each return and booked hotel in calis beach , I book direct with hotel 11 nights half board £10 per day each and hotel picks us up from dalaman and drops us back for £30

Hisaranu is a tourist-trap-nightmare but the surrounding area is lovely. Seems like a bargain at this price.

There's not much to see in Ovacik, quiet but a few nice restaurants. However it is near to Hisaranu which is very commercialised with English themed shops and bars if you like that sort of thing: "Delboy's" store etc. A bus ride away is the coastal area of Olu Deniz which has a beautiful bay. I did the paragliding off the top of the mountain down on to the beach, which was an experience to remember.

Market in Hisonoru on Mondays, some good bargains if you negotiate well. The market in Fethiye is a lot bigger I think this is Teusday (but I woud'nt swear to this) ask the dolmus driver to drop you off.
Lots of places to go Kalkan and Kas easy drive can easily do them on rented scooter.
You can get the Dolmus from Fethiye to Gocek (cheap) Just look at the place names on the front of the Dolmus hop on and give it a try.
Hisaronu in October was cold at night (olu Deniz 6 degree's warmer) so this might be the case in April

Edit
Forgot to add Fantastic deal

I used to think this before I actually bit the bullet and went, It shocked me to see just how beautiful it actually is. That impressed going again in May.

Weather OK end April/ early May? Thinking of going to avoid the agonies of yet another birthday at home.

This is a really nice area. Good food & nice sights.
Theres a bus that takes you to all the needed places.

I guess its a bit of a mix of a tourist area, and a local area. There's tons of people selling fake perfumes. But there's also local markets etc

Is this for 3 people?

Bit confused

Booked it, what a bargain

£304 for 2 adults, 2 kids, transfers n 5kg of luggage each

Weather tends to change from spring to summer end April/start May - should be warm, sunny and possibly showery. Nippy at night and pools will be newly filled (i.e. freezing!). It's a more comfortable time to visit than July & August which are stiflingly hot day and night.

Went early May last year for 2 weeks, Was between 20-26oc everyday, Had a day that was miserable and a late evening shower one night.

Perfect for kids at this time of year as it's not too hot, Still have to use plenty of suncream.

The pool was actually fairly warm..!!!

I went to olu deniz last year. beautiful place. nice view of the mountains. went in june and.the weather was scorchin but was told only few weeks before there was downpours.

fetiye market is a must for a bargain. it is massive. And the buses run very frequently taking you wherever for only a couple of lira.

plenty of activity agents for paragliding, quad biking, boat trips, mud baths. again for little money (except paragliding).

If the weather is nice its a brilliant holiday even using ovacik as a base. just be prepared for every shop owner to try and tempt you in. but a simple no thanks is enough

Yea so my spelling isnt great. Well I do apollogize sincerely for being a little lazy, and im i dont always spell check my work. Thou I can see from your profile you have been very active and helpful over the time which you have been on here! Dont shoot the messenger, if you dont no anythink about the country or the culture, and dont have somethink to contribute towards on this topic.

I just like to add to people out there. Any country can be good or bad. It depend's who you are with, what you do and who you meet. I I went to Alanaya in 2002 i beleive. We was served by this waiter, who took me and my freind out to play pool. Now how nice is that? I agree when i went back last timr with my ex in 2007, things has changed a bit. Still people are polite and helpful. Thou they do seem to rely on toursim in certin areas.

As for the comment about inbreeds or what ever. Well I can name many places, that have this stigma attached to it. I you dont like the plave, dont like the country, why on earth bother posting a remark in first place. That is just pointless, and wasting your own time. You say they are inbreeds, and you say that? lol
