Does anyone on here have any past experience with C-Discount? As going through the customer reviews on pricerunner etc, they all sound pretty horrific and put me off buying a tv from them..

I've purchased three items from them and the items were as described, arrived within 2 days at the latest using Standard delivery. On two of them I also had account credit within 3 weeks of purchase, not forgetting Quidco so a thumbs up from me!

I had 2 problems with them, 1st received wrong item, 2nd didn't get ordered items, been emailing them for more than 5 times, then got a respond (after 8-9 days) saying that permanently out of stock, & now still waiting for a refund.

I've had a few orders, mainly clothes and golf stuff, and had no problems at all. Delivery was pretty quick and items were fine. Sent 1 top back because it was too small and they refunded my card.

I agree,it does'nt look good when buying TV's from them, but other items seem to be great, what are other HUKDers experiences,as looking to buy something, but a wee bit wary:thinking:

Thanks for your post mumbojumbo, thats really good to know. I have ordered a few smaller items from them a few times and the packaging is always really badly damaged but contents are normally unaffected. On one occasion the item was smashed but they collected the next day. But i woulnt want to risk ordering a more expensive item after your post.
#10
I've ordered a couple of things from here on the 3Discount and had no issues. Next day delivery everytime. Only purchased branded items though so would probably stear clear of unbranded items or something really really expensive!!!!
#11
They are rather hit and miss. I had maybe 7 or 8 orders with them. Most have come very quickly. A few Eastpak bags, all great, some Cat boots, one pair slightly damaged, 3 pairs of boots, one badly scuffed, some Diesel jeans, all great, Timberland shoes which are good, other bits bobs, one not as shown... Its a risky business and I am awaiting my first refund on a returned item....

I think as long as you know what you are ordering then they are a good outfit, but show some caution.

Ordered some cds late October for christmas pressies and didnt get them till Jan and didnt respond to any of my emails!! They werent damaged tho so ok if you dont mind potentially long delivery dates. Would def steer clear for any big/expensive items tho imo
Also has to open an earnings enqury to get quidco cashback validated.
#13
I've ordered 3 separate times and each time delivery was within 4 days, no problems to report at all. Very happy with my orders.
#14
I ordered five times so far. Never had any problems. They use Home Delivery Network (Amazon uses same company). HDN is not known for excellent service. But, for the price we pay for delivery, I must say they are very good.

Quality wise, I feel some of the items I got are B-grade (refurbished/cutomer returned). They don't actually say that on their website.

One more complaint I have is with their promotions. When they run promotions like "15% off all homeware for 24hrs" etc.. some prices don't change.

Overall, given that they actually have someone who reads these posts, I am happy to buy from them. And not just because of some excellent bargains I found on cdiscount.

Does anyone know geographical (landline) number for CDiscount customer service?

I ordered my laptop, 32" tv and a 500gb hard drive. All are fine an came in good time.

Dont email them for questions and asnwers i still have one on hold for a few weeks but i rang on the day an got through after 1 min of waiting.
#16
I have had my emails usually answered in about 3 days or so... which is ok. superquick on the phone though!
#17
I ordered 32" tv and was waiting for 2 weeks got no response. no one reply my email. and finally I gave up. this may depend on my own experience.
#18
I have ordered from this lot 3 times so far and on the first 2 they arrived within 3-4 days. I placed the 3rd order on friday and was dispatched yesterday will continue to use. It sounds as though their 3discount payment option causes some problems.
#19
I've only used them once but it was a pleasant experience. Great price, arrived promptly and I would use them again without hesitation.

- Just thought I'd also add
Ordered two items that were sealed and looked new
#20
I'd be the very first to slate any company not pulling there weight; but I can only go wth my experience on them. I've ordered a few items in the recent past - with no probz whatsoever!

Roll on CDiscount!

Anyone have any idea what will be in the 'flash sales' tonight?
#22
Ahhhhh, just ordered a Dyson DC25 on Sunday. It hasn't been despatched yet......wonder if a can cancel and re-order!!!!!:-(
#23
So let me get this right (novice here!), if I order something at £350 I will get roughly £50 in credit to spend at Cdiscount? Do I need to enter any codes or anything (apart from the delivery?)

I'm also new to Quidco, if I use that what will I get back?

Thanks all
#24
I've bought furniture from them and while it was worth what I paid it was only worth that - no great bargain and I though of sending it back. I'd second the comments earlier about patchy colouring and mismatched holes. Has put me off buying from them again.

Thanks Edi, the VAT back offer has now been extended :)

I wasn't sure how it worked... I've ordered an item worth £400 so I'm due £50 on credit. Does that mean I can basically buy something worth £50?

I think I'm having a daft moment.
[mod]#30
Hey, yeah , it will probably be added to your account in a months time or at the end of the month and then you will be able to spend it on anything on their site :)
#31
no problems with cdiscount they've been quick in despatching my item,

TV should have been delivered today by the Home Delivery Network, however...

the parcel number updated online as undelivered and card left, guess what I was in all day and there was no delivery attempt and no card left (driver has pulled a fast one)

rang them and they have the correct address, told her there had been no delivery attempt and she said 'oh well' - what sort of service is that!

should be here tomorrow, will update
#32
I've now ordered several items from these guys and everything has arrived and been as described. Not the speediest delivery but faster than I get from Amazon. Emailed them a question about the credit and they took 3 days to respond, so not the best support experience but when its cheap, something has to give I guess.

Just waiting for the end of the month to get my credit. Oooh what to buy, It's kinda annoying that I keep getting email offers from them when I'm still waiting for the credit, can't take advantage of them yet heh.
#33
exact same thing has happened today what a joke, waiting for the manager to call me back...
#34
so I found out today that they (HDN) attempted delivery to the wrong address,

also the driver can't deliver it now because he has just had a hernia operation..

just hassle
#35
Ordered Friday night, received my order today...well chuffed
#36
to update - received the tv no problems! thank you cdiscount

not happy with the home delivery network though - they're excuse for late, late delivery was 'the driver is just coming back from a hernia operation' so i had to help him

problem with that is cdiscount had paid HDN to do a 2 man delivery so a bit naughty!
