Went into the Horsham store today to check out the Black Friday deals and was told this will is a better offer and if it was not they would match it. Soundbar offer finishes Thursday

Horsham is Crawley's poorer relative.

Is it still a bit early to be commiting to 4K tvs? A lot of geeky sites seem to say so.

Forget about 4K, every TV going forward will be 4K or better and although it certainly looks nice the jump from 1080p is not as mind blowing as from old standard definition to 1080p. What is mind blowing though is HDR.
Get the TV that does the best HDR for the money you can afford.
If you plan to game then get a TV that does HDR in Game mode with low latency.
This, the Samsung KS7-9000 series and the especially the Panasonic DX902B are the best TVs with HDR, great image quality and low latency for gaming.

They also seem to cost the earth. Any advice on low to mid range tvs with decent HDR and gaming ability?

Good TV, horrible Soundbar

the oleds are a little slower on input lag. I think a Samsung s7000 is about 25ms and an oled is closer to 50ms

For this £, you should be going OLED.

From what I hear the Panasonic DX750 and the Samsung KS7500 hit the sweet spot. They both have good quality 4K screens with 10-bit panels (wider colours) and are bright enough to deliver a premium HDR, which I argue is more important, but also by not adding a ton of latency when you game on them. All at a reasonable price.

I have all my media on my Cloud which every device connects to flawlessly.. I try to watch films on this and it randomly disconects from Internet.. half the films are unsupported files yet my old smart sony tv in the bedroom plays them fine.. even running plex I get disconnection issues yet it plugged in with ethernet... remote control is arwful the buttons are hard to use as there all tiny ....comes with its own bracket and spent hours trying to extend the bolts as it won't fit normal brackets.. does not come with 3D glasses ..£1600 for tv and they can't put 3d glasses in... sound is basic .. random freezes in menu.. picture is not as vibrant as I would like, even though I have tried all setting on Internet... android store is limited no many apps out there.. one good point is you can install kodi.. for £1600 was looking for that something better and special.. had this a few months now 4k.. netflix is good does not wow me .. games from ps4 are nothing special than a average tv... worth around the £800 to £900 but personally I feel robbed.. wish I would have good with the LG
