This is the cheapest i could find for a class 6 card.

Closest i could find is the play.com Class 4 card for 16.99.

I reckon the extra 3 quid is worth the performance boost. I'm due to receive one any day now. Will post test results.

(£19.20 with quidco 4%)

Tested transfer speeds and it is just over 8 Mb/s tested using an Integral USB SDHC reader.

Have three 16GB Transcends from 7dayshop

Recommend these :-)

However remember that all class 6 means is a speed greater than 6

so there may still be a difference between makers - eg a 6.1 speed card will be rated the same as an 8.5 card

It would be great to see some test results from both these cards to see how fast they will read and write

And for the poster above, these are full size cards, not micro cards - so probably won't go in your Blackberry - however 7dayshop does a great 8BG class 6 micro SDHC that is excellent value for phones http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=104986. The 16GB micro cards are still very expensive for what they are and not often class 6. Not all phones can cope with large cards either, so do check first on what your phone can take

The UK version of Blackberry Storm 9500 supports microcards only - not these http://eu.blackberry.com/eng/devices/blackberrystorm/storm_specifications.jsp?navId=H0,C381,S2 however the RIM page doesn't state a maximum size - the mymemory indicated 8GB - but this may be wrong

This isn't compatible as the Storm uses micro-sdhc, this is a full sized sdhc card.

I have two 4GB CF cards from Mymemory for around 18 months and shot tens of thousands of pictures on them without issue, I wouldn't hesitate to buy Mymemory cards again.

You are right storm uses micro-sdhc card. I already ordered though. I might use it for my digital photo frame instead... and look out for a micro-sdhc card.

Me too, to go in my new Nikon D40.

just received mine ... within 2 days of ordering.

transfer speeds of 1300mb in 2min 40s

averages around just over 8mb/s ..

So the class 6 branding is well in order!!

i used an Integral USB SDHC reader. When using my built in sd reader in my dell vostro, speeds were significantly slower at just over 4mb/s. So it's important to bear in mind what reader u are using when you test the speeds.

that from my experience, cards that push the boundaries on size, but that are cheap, aren't very good.

Sandisk and Kingston have both served me well at smaller sizes. MyMemory cards of that size make me weary.

My personal experience.

i bought the 8GB CF card from mymemory from one of the listings here on HUKD. I agree it's not fast, but i only use it as storage and not photography .. so speed isn't an issue for me.

And if i recall... i got it for cheep from a HUKD post.

it was. something silly like £16 each I think.

madmx78,

You'll need a Micro SD card for the BlackBerry Storm. BlackBerry handheld code 4.5 and above supports up to 64GB cards, so we've still got a long way to go yet...just make sure you get a Micro SD card. I got my 8GB Transcend Micro SD card from 7dayshop after seeing a post here previously and can totally recommend both the card and the company, but 4% cashback from this retailer is a nice little bonus.

Al.

Sent from my BlacKBerry 8220.

Transcend have a good reputation for their memory cards yet they are consistently fast, cheap and high capacity. Having used Transcend, Kingston, Sandisk and Mymemory cards over long periods of time for heavy use I've not had problems with any particular brand nor have I come across any on this forum when some Mymemory deals have previously been popular.
