No it is not misprint, I have tried in my mp3 player, kept on going for 50 mins only, when Duracell keeps on going for 5 hours at least. Try by yourself. And alaklines have long expiry date,at least 5 years. Or should I say,it is misprint, but on the battery itself, not packaging.

You were just unlucky.
DISCLAIMER: Since i got dragged into a silly argument just for trying to help, let me clarify why i created this photo, it was a counterweight to the previous claim that "all the batteries come dead on arrival" which clearly is not the case for all. The Energizer by the side is to give an idea of where the needle on the battery tester goes when any battery is full; it is not to suggest that the capacity of the battery is the same as the Energizer, rather that whatever the capacity of the Verbatims, they come full and not dead. Anyone would know that for example Duracell Ultra would last longer than these batteries, but then you'd be paying a lot lot more for those.

They may be, but a battery tester like that is quite useless - all it tells you is that it's got some life in it or none.

Non rechargeables do have there uses e.g. low drain devices used infrequently over long periods

They are like those rubbish you get from B&M, there only good for showing people at car boots that your battery operated goods work. They don't last and only good thing there useful for are TV remote controls but then you have to be careful as they leak.

The battery tester you are using is quite useless, you need one that applies a load to the battery like for example the ZTS Pulse Load Multi-battery tester.
