safety first, just because its cheap doesnt mean you can take more than usual, asda limits these to only two packs to a customer, for obvious reasons.
hot price though

All retailers are required to sell a maximum of 2x16 packs by law.

Asda does NOT limit these to two packs per customer, the LAW does.

It's a stupid law because all you have to do is go back in and buy another two packs and then another two packs until you've got as many as you want. I used to get bottles of 200 from Boots which was far more convenient and I was never tempted to eat them all at once. Damn this pathetic nanny state.

Anyway, no, not a deal, usual price.

I noticed this a couple of weeks ago - it's 3 pence off the normal price

amazing what people consider a hot deal on here lately...

is it just me or does it seem that many people are having these like sweeties nowadays...my grandma insists on having one a day like a multivitamin :w00t:

After time you will find paracetamol doesnt work as well as it can do. Alternate them with aspirin if you can do. Some people cant take aspirin

By alternate, I dont mean take the same days, I mean, if you get regular headaches, take aspirin one month, then paracetamol the next, I find it works wonders.

That's dangerous, the body still has to work to remove them from the system. Obviously it's different if you've been told to take them by your doctor.

Always makes me laugh when I pick up the 16p box in Boots and somebody buys a pack for ten times that thinking they are getting "better paracetamol". If it's the same mass of drug you're just paying for the colourful box!

Alternatively, see your GP and find the underlying cause of your headaches. You might live a bit longer.

For me it was high blood pressure. For a mate it was over indulgence in caffeine based drinks. I'm on appropriate medication, he drinks more water and we both feel a lot better.

Right

Don't assume that just because something is company policy, that it is law. Supermarkets require everybody present with someone buying alcohol to provide proof of age. This is not law either.

The law states that paras must require a prescription for purchases over 100 tablets.

The recommendation is that stores do not sell more than 32 to one customer, but that's all it is, a recomendation.

Paracetamol is at an all cheap everywhere.

I've seen it for this price in Boots, Superdrug and other stores before. Probably the only thing in this world that has been made cheap by the economic turmoil!

Bought some today......along with a bottle of Jamesons!

I remember the days when you used to be able to walk into Boots and buy 100 in a bottle for 99p

So these are packs are a bit cheaper.

Caplets has shot up in price recently. Everywhere seems to be selling them at a premium.

Problem is that my missus will only buy caplets and nothing else. (easier to swallow)

i remember the days youuse to get free cotton wool with them ;-)
