1366x768 pixel screen on a 16" laptop? That is a bad joke, voted cold.
Man that resolution does suck! Asside from that the spec is fantastic! but I really wouldn't buy one purely because of that poor display. Its a big shame really. Like I said the spec is everything you would need. Especially with a good graphics card like that the display must be really really bad.
LOL ... incredibly poo screen, unbelievable.

shame, comes with a 3year warranty too.
Let down by the screen and the processor!
what screen resolution should a 16" screen have ?
what screen resolution should a 16" screen have ?

Normal res is usually:
13-15" 1280x800 approx
16"+ 1440x900 approx

Or high res:
14-15" 1440x900
16"+ 1680x1050 or 1920x1200.

I think the issue is they went for a HD 720p res as its a 16:9 screen not 16:10.
They should have included a 1080p screen, medion really missed the point with this machine.

The desktop must look dreadful at that resolution on a 16" screen.

This isn't what I would call a *geek/nerd preference*, it's a real flaw - seriously avoid this laptop.
what screen resolution should a 16" screen have ?

Windows is designed to run at 96dpi, so a 16" screen should technically have a resolution slightly lower than 1366x768. Many people do prefer higher resolution though since you can fit more stuff on the screen (at the expense of everything being smaller).
im using the acer 16 inch 6930g and 1366x768 looks really sharp to me. for me this looks like a good deal, good spec and 3 yr warranty voted hot.
Anyone know if this laptop has a mat screen or a glossy one?
I know this is a bit of a dead topic but i can get hold of one of these and as far as i can gather the only negative is the screen resolution. But what significant effect will that actually have?
