Sounds pretty good! I wonder when O2 are going to start offering any decent iphone offers as I want their broadband/homephone package.
#2
This is a retention offer not a deal
#3
crappy airtime
#4
are you serious? sounds good
#5
sounds like a good deal. I may one day return to three (so much better than the crap that is Orange and Tesco Mobile!)
#6
At the moment its only available as part of a test programme for retention, and only if you request your PAC code.
#7
yeah it is RETENTION offer..my BAD!!
but you can upgrade to 500 mix and match for £25.
#8
oh ok..I did request my PAC code..and it wasnt that I just said I wanted to leave..
so PAC code is the important phrase to use
Hmmm interesting...

At the beginning of March I got a 32Gb Black 3GS for £99 at O2 as a retention offer, so retention offers are customer specific depending on your previous account spends.

I JUST got off the phone with them...i was on the 300 min 150 text plan for £5 plan for like 2 years now...and i got a call..and i asked for an iphone...and i got
700 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £25 a month!

was told if i wanted 32gb it was 100 upfront cost bu i stuck with the 16gb.

THEY phoned ME...random :S
#11
Looks like around £100 is pretty standard for the 32Gb 3GS on a retention deal.
#12
Looks good deal to me
#13
Really dumb question, but what is this retention rubbish? Could i get one if i was new to 3 etc? Thanks
#14
I got the 16gb iphone 3gs from three for £18/month. Contract duration is 18 months and i'm getting 500 cross network mins 300 three to three minutes.
The best part is the iphone is unlocked and i'm using it on t-mobile.
#15
Finally Three crack just to retain customers...my upgrade due in Sept hope something like this is still on otherwise im off..

Those that have been offered iPhones on 3, did you wait until they called you, or if you rang them, which options did you get hold of retentions on?

I've rang them a few times to try and either get an iPhone or HTC Desire out of them, but they are not budging. The most I have been offered is 1100 Mix and Match minutes/text, Unlimited internet, and free HTC Hero for £20/month (which isn't bad). I'm currently on a 1100 Mix and Match plan (no internet) for £20/month.

I find detailing with 3 Customer Services very frustrating to say the least...

I wonder if your iPhone is fully unlocked, if so good on you.

However, all iPhones in the UK come semi-unlocked. What this means is that they are not locked to any of the UK networks, but will lock itself to the first network that you activate to using iTunes. So let's say you got an upgrade iPhone from O2 but decided to put your T-Mobile SIM in it to activate it via iTunes. It will let you do this and lock to T-Mobile, but if you then put an O2 SIM in, it won't work even though you originally got the iPhone form O2 on an upgrade.

it's this kind of post that makes me wonder if people even bother reading of the other posts apart from the 'main' post(at times I wonder if they even read that before replying), maybe understandable if there are hundreds of post but with only being on the 2nd page it's not too time consuming to read the 1st page at least(it has the answer to the question, and not in just one of the posts).

i called them to terminate my contract and then they offered me iphone, which i cant resist. best thing is to ask for pac code so they can offer you similar offer. and by the way if a person dont offer you iphone then ring back again and somebody will definately offer you, it actually happened with me.

You really don't know what your on about. When the 3G signal drops it uses oranges 2G network so orange must be "crap" aswell. You get the best of both worlds fast 3G on Three and the coverage of orange. Tell me a better network for speed, quality, coverage and price.

Just got the same deal! Superb!

Did they call you, or did you phone them? I've just phoned again, and didn't get offered an iPhone deal despite asking about them specifically, and asked for my PAC code. The operator I spoke to said they have daily offers on the iPhone, and there weren't any today (which I don't believe)

If you rang them, what options did you pick?
#29
I cancelled 25 days ago, was not offered any decent deals and certainly not an Iphone. only 5 days to go now. My worry is, the operator kept going on for 45 minutes about same Cr*py deals that I had to shout at him to shut up and cancel my contract which was done in 5 seconds, would he left a note that I should not be contacted!

[I] have just got off the phone to three and was offered. 500 mix and match plus internet for £35 month. They also wanted £99 up front. I argued for the deal above but as a result I am now sat here with my PAC code. My wife is going to go mad !!!! I rang for my pac saying the wife wanted an iphone and they offered me one. They are going to be offered to everyone when it is launched the first week of May./I]

I rang them, my contract expired about three months ago. I've been with three for 4 yrs.

I rang new deals saying i wanted to upgrade to iphone. They said we did iphone for a short period but many customers complained of short battery life so we stopped! Any how, they tried to sell me the nokia x6 or htc hero, which i declined. the sales woman then put me on hold while she spoke to a supervisor. She came back and said " i will put you through to a different depart who will tell you if the iphone is becoming available. The next guy said as a valued customer we can offer you the deal posted here. My phone arrives on Monday!
