If someone owes one, please confirm the speed.
You can use 'h2textw' to test your usb pendrive, download from http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/h2testw-14-gold-standard-in-detecting-usb-counterfeit-drives/ . Also, it can detect USB Counterfeit Drives

Cheapest SanDisk Cruzer Micro 16GB at Play.com is £15.99. But its speed is nearly 2 times slower than (its writing speed 5MB/s). Pay more 4 quid, save more time. Why cold?

due to the speed i think its hot, H+R added.

same price, nearly 3 times faster than Cruzer http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=103935
Read Speed: 33MB/s (220x)
Write Speed: 14MB/s (95x)

Don't like the design where the cord attaches to the cap. The drive is easily lost, leaving just the cap on the end of the cord! Why don't all maufacturers do either capless drives, or put the loop on the actual drive?

Does anyone actually have one of these? If so, some insight would be nice as to the accuracy of the read/write times, and build quality.

Under a tenner. A tenner says their fake. eBay is full of fakes. A mate tried to sell me a 64gb flash drive. I took it and tested it. Was 4gb lol!

Read Speed: 33MB/s (220x)
Write Speed: 14MB/s (95x)

Was cheaper few months back. £16.99 for 2+ or £17.99 for 1.

These are fast. Got a few. General read speed around 20MB/s write speed 10MB/s. But it can go faster. Depends on your USB chipset. Some are faster than others.

Well said, the USB on your motherboard has a big impact on speed.

This is a cracking little deal. I'm a bit bummed out, just bought a 16gb last week that does 19MB/s read and 7.5MB/s read. Bytestor brand from Amazon. The write speed is really good on this one. Getting high write speed is rare.

I love the handy keyring loop that they've attached to the rear of this drive, along with the disclaimer: -

"The loop at the rear of the key drive is not suitable for attaching to a key ring and can either damage the key ring or the key drive."
