You can send it back as it's not the spec that was stated when you bought it.

I've sent them an email, waiting for them to get back to me.

I'm thinking a class 4 would work better in my android phone, apps are saved to sdcard.

Mine came yesterday and it's class 2 as well. Emailed yesterday, no reply as of yet. Idiots!

Mine arrived this morning and it says Class 4 on the packaging and on the card itself. I have not tried to run any kind of speed test on it. In fact I have not even tried to use it yet.

EDIT : OK it works in my San Francisco after formatting it in the phone. I've downloaded a few Picasa albums and played back a slideshow. I'll need to hunt down some phone software to give it a proper test as I don't have an adapter to use the card in my laptop.

I've just dug the packet out of the bin and mine says:
PLAYMSDH16G2NA
MicroSDHC 16GB Class 2
76-41-04

I didn't notice when I opeded it.
Mine says Japan on it.

I have it in my San Francisco running Android 2.2 (MoDaCo Custom Froyo ROM alpha4) with an 800mb EXT2 partition for the apps and it seems to be working fine.

Still not happy about getting a class 2 card though and no answer from Play yet.

I used the form on their website on the 16th I think, they replied on the 18th, and I got a dispatch confirmation of the new card on the 19th. I just sent a message saying about how it was wrong. Their reply was just an automatic response I think, as if I had requested a return

"We are very sorry to hear that you have been sent the incorrect item. We
will dispatch the correct item to you immediately.

So that you are not charged for the incorrect item sent to you, please
return it to us at the address below at your earliest convenience."

Hope you manage to get through to them! Try ringing?

I used a form on plays website too, I've tried again.

Mine arrived and is Class 2 too. I notified them via their 'Help' section and asked for a refund rather than replacement as it's now £15.49. I should get free return postage since the item was not as described.

The number of reports of Class 2 cards turning up instead of Class 4 is quite disturbing. It makes you wonder just what on earth Play are playing at. Hah! Hah!. Am I the only customer to have received a Class 4 card? Surely there must be others.

I got the same reply after my second mail to them, I haven't sent it back yet but will try tomorrow.

Yet another victim of their dodgy picking/shipping checks with a Class 4 ordered and Class 2 delivered AND it took 12 days from shipping notification for it to reach Bucks! ARGH.
Mind you first fouled up delivery from them in 'n' years and clearly due to one mistake of someone tipping the wrong stuff in the wrong bin rather than anything personal.

PS. Filled in the form on their site & within a couple of hours got email authorising return & promising correct replacement will be sent and offering the standard £1.4x postage refund (actually will be c52p). NB: As Windhoek says in later post if you want to buy the (hopefully) correct card at its current price ask for REFUND explicitly otherwise they will send the right item (at the original price).

If anyone else needs to send back their card because they've received a 'Class 2' card as I did, then fill in the form (accessible via their HELP page) stating you ordered a 'Class 4' card, but received a 'Class 2' card and you want a refund. Play will give you a Returns Authorisation Number and instructions on how to return your card. They'll also give you £1.40 (when they refund your Class 2 card) to cover the return postage.

I did the above then placed an order for another card @ £15.49 delivered.

I'm still waiting for the 'return' class 4 card to come, not impressed
