For sequencial It's a 17MB/sec read, 5MB/sec write - definitely putting it in the SLOW category.
#15
Can't resist at that price
And as for the above - what have you got that needs to be put on 50% faster FGS ?

It isnt a fantastic price - if you really need 16GB it is worth spending a few quid extra for a faster one, and if you dont you can spend less for a faster 8GB stick.

alternatively..have a look at the price, the capacity, and the 4 star reviews

For me this is going to be used for usb storage on a 360, so write speed isn't all that important as the majority of the time will be spent reading.

As the read speed isn't disasterously slow, I don't see a problem.

Yep, bought a 2GB one for 99p using the Currys promotion - it has to be the slowest stick I've ever had and is definitely not built to last.

Maybe the 16GB versions are different speedwise, but they probably wont last long anyways before breaking up into little bits of plastic!!

64 five star reviews against 7 one star.

I know there are mixed reviews and it's not the quickest drive, but at £10.99 delivered it's worth giving it a go.

The 2GB Cruzer Blade I have is used in an audio media streamer - it takes over a minute to build the cache file for around 1.7 GB of mp3 files. My three year old unbranded 2GB stick takes 20 secs to do the same operation on exactly the same files.

I'm glad I only spent 99p to find SanDisk selling such tat!!!

The bigger the memory stick the more important the write speed. For me, at least.

As there has been quite a significant price drop, a repost is acceptable.
