And so did I. Works great though...

Is this suitable for a hi-def digital camcorder?

Will it be able to keep up with the video captured as I'm thinking of getting the Panasonic HDC-SD9 camcorder?

Thanks

I got a 16GB pen drive from Ebay for a lot less than £20.99.

I just ordered one of these, thanks for the recommendation! My storage-challenged EEE pc needed a new one.

I could get it for £1 cheaper on ebay, but i bought one before claiming "lifetime warranty" which subsequently broke, only to be met with silence fro the seller. That's ebay for you.

The trouble with Ebay is lots of the so called 16GB drives are not really 16GB. They appear to be but if you fill them up the last half of the files are corrupted. I advise you to fully check yours, do not rely on what windows tells you the capacity is.

good for you, lets hope it really is a 16 gig pen and you have placed a huge zipped file on there and unzipped it back to your computer

A lifetime warranty would be dealt with by the manufacturer, have you tried them at all?
#13
Thanks.

I'm going to Florida in a few weeks and needed another 16GB card for my HD camcorder !

I don't even know who the manufacturer is, it's seemingly brandless. But i guess i could give samsung a shot, since the seller claims it's a samsung chip.

My Acer Aspire doesn't recognise SDHC cards, but I bought a cheap memory card reader from dealextreme which does the trick.

Thanks mate, I'm assuming then that a standard SD card will work fine then. After at least a further 8GB if possible - and a case if you can recommend one?!

my acer aspire works with shdc but you will have to use the vista driver thats how i got mine working even in XP use vista driver

I have a 60GB PS3 and while I havent received this 16GB card yet, other 16GB sdhc cards worked perfectly.

My card was delivered yesterday whilst I was at work.(nice speedy delivery) :-D

It's a plain unit with a series of characters on the back but no results came up when I searched. Will try and run some tests to see the speed, but here's a pic of under the label

Well I ran some quick tests to see the copying and reading rates. I use Diskbench and Flight Sim X Demo file. Copied from same location on c: to memory card and read the file afterwards.
I tested alongside the Play.com 4gb sdhc card (Toshiba-class 4) & Kingston 2gb MicroSD card within an SD adapter.

Not sure how reliable the app is but the test results seem to indicate the microSD 2gb is fastest.

It shows that the read test can be ignored as it obviously doesn't reflect the true speed.

17.231 MB/s is respectable.
