Looks to me like a copy of the Oxford Magnum, but I doubt it is the same quality. Might be a Tonyon china-lockset.com/tes…552 (edited)
At that price, I'd be tempted to buy two and test one with a hacksaw, scaffold pole etc to see if it is ok.
At the end of the day, any bike lock can be broken by a determined thief. As you said its stop any passers buy from thinking of knicking your bike.
I think you are right about it being a Tonyon. Amazingly I found one of these in my local Sainsbury's local and for a fiver I couldn't resist - if only to put through a wall anchor in my garage as it is a big, long, heavy lock.
It definitely isn't a lock I'd like to carry around on a regular basis as with mount and keys it weighs 1.84 KG. However - unlike Kryptonite it looks like the mount may actually fit, practically to your bike.
It is 16mm steel which is pretty good. I'd say it would be good if you were going out on a family ride and would be good for locking up a couple of bikes - maybe kids bikes as it is long enough to fit through 2 frames and an object.
I considered that and IMO it would take you an age to do that with a hacksaw but a BJ may do it although possibly causing damage to the bike.
Would definitely deter a casual opportunist thief. A good buy but probably too big and heavy to carry around for 1 bike - but if your bike is only a clunker - definitely OK.
