Link to see how it works. Amazing :)))
Hopefully its my best post ever, so please vote. I'd love to be in the top 5 deals of the day once in my life:)
The pink one was reduced to £12 in debenhams Trafford centre 70% off sale yesterday we bought the last one there not available online but a bargain if you can find it
definitely been cheaper than this before, I picked one up in Argos for £15 just before Christmas, but is a good price if you need one now.
Fab price, have bought one to put away for Christmas.
was 9.99 in argos roughly 18 months ago for the pink tag reader

to be fair though whilst the same, this redesign has more memory and is rechargeable.

Both mine love playing with these and can not recommend them enough from story books, learning sets too the interactive world map that they often get out to show me places they know.
I thing tag is for juniors always much cheaper then this set.
This is 2013 released product more memory and over 150 books available :)
Camelcamelcamel says £21.33 is the lowest ever price on Amazon.

nah there is their product called "junior" - purchased that for one of nieces but would not rate as much as these pens

but yes as above (the to be fair bit) the redesign has more memory and is rechargeable - but that is the only functional difference - virtually same size just newer generation of same product
Are you sure it was exactly this model not the cheaper tag which needs battery and has got less memory?

pretty certain you will find this is also tag refers to the technology in the books that both devices are designed to use

The reader is the pen
The junior is the dog type thing

both are Tag compliant

The reason I do not rate the junior as highly as the reader is it has such a short time span - if you have a sibling and one with the reader, the younger will not be interested in junior for very long at all before wanting the reader.

I do rate the reader and do recognise the newer model has more memory (to buy more books to fill with) and is rechargeable by default (albeit think I prefer having triple AAA's which, in my daughters, are both rechargeable and replaceable).

However, you title says cheapest price ever for leapfrog reader. Even the previous generations had different sizes - where you mean current 256MB model which isn't (yet) in your title

Hi it's comes with starter kind of book but you can buy over 150 interactive books to play with this.
Thanks Hun excellent find .... Voted Hot from me x
Does this speak with a US accent?
Ordering mine :) my little girl will love it
hi, what else do you need to go with this? thanks
You need to buy tag books and other interactive bits leapfrog sell to go with these
Have a computer to download the leapfrog software, register the pen and then download the interactive parts of the book you have to download onto the pen connect via usb (if you use a pen without the tag elements loaded it will tell you it does not recognise it)
N.B. you do not need the book to download the interactive parts as it will only work with that book physically - this means you can download in advance when others buy as presents.

Once set it is then a case of the children using the pen to follow the story, answer interactive questions, games, puzzles (simple example where is this person) - or generally browse through the book at what interests them.

The most common books on sale are the movie themed and the story is an overview matching the film - the most recent are the most expensive (would be surprised to see Frozen on offer yet) - but slightly older, are often available cheaply (rafaelo3s has found one on another post) - but they also do sets of books to compliment your children's schooling (i.e. phonetics, maths and so on) aimed at differing levels.

The one I love the most is the interactive world atlas which we bought on offer from a post on hotukdeals - it folds out, both sides are both interactive (one side a bit cuter than the other) and I think is truly amazing on the games it plays which both my children join together in finding places and learning associating facts about those places.

Most often the voices are the characters of the book
Been waiting for ages for the green ones to come down in price, it's only ever the pink and my little boy would not appreciate that!! Nice find :)
I think one of the comments on Amazon says is British accent and when is reading i.e.. single letter z is reading as zii not zed like in American English.
Can't believe I've not got one oO thought it was my internet going slow and then it's saying listing no longer available! Thanks anyway!
Missed out! Check debenhams for cheap books- some are 4.50- i think they are this system
Are you sure it was exactly this model not the cheaper tag which needs battery and has got less memory?

Finished work and having checked stand slightly corrected (albeit partially right too)
Previous model was called Leapfrog Tag Reader
Rebranding of new model is called Leapfrog Reader (so your title is right and my bad)

was a rebranding albeit both are tag compliant

Was also wrong on functional differences - there is now special paper for writing practice available on the leapfrog Reader but not the leapfrog tag reader

The more memory also allows Leapfrog to look at more downloadable (payable) content that goes beyond what is available for the leapfrog tag reader.
Awh how did I miss this again :( x
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo......I missed it:(
