This is a nifty little "activeequipment" brand, 17 Function Cycle Computer. It features a wireless speed sensor, wired cadence (RPM) sensor and allows you to analyse your cycling statistics in all manner of different ways.

Full details are available at http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-6555.aspx.

(Please note that it looks a little more modern than the photo on the website!)

The point of sale and tesco.com both indicate that this should be £15. But at my local Tesco (Cambridge), it rang in at a very tempting £3.75! That actually makes it cheaper than the 3-function Tesco Value model they also sell for around £6!

Grab yourself a bargain!

"Sorry, this is temporarily out of stock" !?

Apologies, I linked to the website for feature reference only.

This is an in-store deal.

I spotted around 20 of them stacked up on the shelf in my local branch.

Fulbourn. They're on the far left of the shop, near the end of the greetings card aisle with all the other cycling gear.

still £15 in my Tesco Extra Lea Valley .. But worth a try
#8
Great if you can get them at £3.75

Unfortunately, reduced twice at Stafford and still at £7.50 :x

A good deal I think, heat and rep
#9
watford still £15!

Finally managed to drop in to the Fulbourn, Cambridge Tesco, and there were still around 30 or so of these on the shelf...and scanned at £3.75 despite the shelf-edge price of £15.

Do you still want one of these? At this price, I didn't think it was too much of a risk to buy two, so I have a spare one if you want it.
#11
I might head down to my local Tesco later (Longton). I highly doubt they'll have it reduced, never had any 'deals' scan at a lower price than what was on the shelf before.

A great deal though if you can get it.

*Edit*
What part of the store are these usually at?

Argos do an 8 Function Cycle Computer.333/3891 for £7.99 and is in stock. I got this for £3.99 two months ago. So watch out if you are looking for a good deal. But £7.99 is not a bad price for this cycle speedo.

That £7.99 argos one is wired..this one is wireless.

Forget all this junk, bikes don't go fast enough to need a speedo. Put the money towards some decent lights and save your concentration for the road!
#15
I don't use mine just for telling me the speed (and it is possible to break the speed limit on a bike, so maybe you should have one?) but it's also a milometer, trip counter, trip timer, thermometer...

If it tells you how many miles you've done, it's well worth it!

/buys moped
/takes speedo off

They add a bit more of info to how far and fast you have ridden, staring at them would indeed be stupid but then so would staring at the speedo in your car. You don't need lights in daylight either ;0

Good price at 7.50 even, even cheapo lidl and aldi ones are 12+ and don't come with cadence.

Edit.
I don't use mine just for telling me the speed (and it is possible to break the speed limit on a bike, so maybe you should have one?

Speed limits only apply to motorised vehicles.

Hi, The Tesco Extra store at Carmarthen had loads of these in-stock today, however the price that came up at checkout was full price, £15.00.

Not voted either way but guess that this demonstrates the fact that Tesco do not charge the same prices Nationwide. Was not worth £15.00 IMHO. Lidl have had Wireless Cycle Computers available previously for approximately a fiver.

Came in at £15 for me too
#21
Hello guys,

Just been to the store (Fulbourn, Cambridge) and this deal is still on. I bought one for me!!!

Cheers,
Gabriel

Perhaps this should be marked as a Fulbourn, Cambridge exclusive deal :p

Glad a few of you have managed to grab a bargain.
#23
I bought one at £15, anyway.

At that price, for a wireless one with cadence, I still think it's a good buy. Means I can replace my old Cateye wired cadence one.
#24
Just picked one up for £15 quid too. Even though the cadence isnt wireless, its a good deal and is one less wire to thing about routing.

Yup - fair point, the cadence sensor is wired, it's just the wheel sensor that's wireless.

Still, that's one wired sensor / wire I can remove when I finally get around to putting this one on instead of my Cateye 8.
#26
Lester, Have you used yours yet - and if so how do you find it?

I've not actually put it on my main bike, yet.

Believe it or not, time is a factor! I'm lucky if I get chance to ride it - I seem to spend most of my time using a cheap hack bike for any cycling I get time for right now.

As soon as I've used it, I'll respond with feedback on it.
