Change to spec in my 1st post and if you want you could take one stick of 1GB ram out, and buy a 2GB stick for around £13.50 off play, so you would have 4GB 17" laptop for £512.
Nice desktop space saver, good specs, great price, thanks.
need a link to the build without signing in :)
edit: tried making a link but links to the base model
its the 1st studio 17 with 10 quid extra on hard drive and 65 extra on graphics = 553 - 10% = above price
I really strongly advise against buying one of these, All of these dell studio laptops (including mine which is 1 week old) have a problem with the cd ejecting randomly even without anything in the drive. Hence why dell have discontinued this model, and on the new version (which is now available in America) they have removed the touch sensitive keys which are causing the problem.
oh yeah - a better deal is to go with the 2nd studio 17 as it is 521 after 10% off
this already has the 4gb ram - also has an upgraded processor worth 40quid more and wireless n
so diff is basically 9quid for having the ram fitted for you as soon as you get it and a 40quid processor and wireless n
not sure of any other differences
