Another fab hotel deal - Ive had the pleasure of visiting Mar Hall a few weeks ago and using the mud chamber! It was fantastic. The only downside to this deal is that it doesn't include dinner and the hotel is in the middle of nowhere (the offer does include a 20% discount on food). When we visited our meal was £60 for main course and dessert with wine but we were still hungry so would recommend going for 3 courses but saying that the food was amazing and its such a stunning place - have sent big hints to my boyfriend to buy this deal for mothers day!

We went the night before an old firm game and the rangers team were there so if you a fan you might get to see some famous faces!

Anyway enough of my rambling!

Hamlet’s line ‘To be or not to be’ is often held up as one of the great philosophical questions of all time.

Fair enough but there are trickier conundrums to face. For example, if you take up today’s Big Deal should you risk suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune on the championship golf course or should you just chill in the Aveda Destination Spa?

It’s a toughie. The new 18 hole Earl of Mar course was designed by respected golf course architect, Dave Thomas, who is best known for his work at The Belfry in England, plus San Roque and La Manga in Spain. With spectacular views of the River Clyde, the course at Mar Hall offers a five star golf experience.

But on the other hand, the Aveda concept Spa is pretty sweet as well. The only one of its kind in the UK, it features eight treatment rooms which have been designed using elements of Ayurvedic traditions.

Today’s deal is for a Rasul Mud chamber treatment for two in the Aveda Destination Spa and full use of the facilities including sauna, steam room, pool and fitness suite.

The golfing and the spa are all part of the magnificent Mar Hall Resort. Located within a tranquil 240 acre woodland estate, the centrepiece of Mar Hall is a baronial mansion that was completed in the 1840s yet retains many of its original features.

The deal includes a free upgrade to a deluxe room. Spacious, individually designed and very comfortable, they come with Egyptian cotton linens, soft duvet covers and fluffy cushions. Some even feature four poster beds. They all have spacious en-suite bathrooms, and in-room Aveda Spa Toiletries. Each room has WiFi or wired internet access.

Based on two people sharing a double room, the deal features:

A glass of bubbly on arrival

Free upgrade to deluxe bedroom

Full scottish breakfast

A round of golf for two on the 18 hole championship golf course

OR

A Rasul Mud Chamber treatment for two in the Aveda Destination Spa plus full use of the facilities including sauna, steam room, pool and fitness suite.

Availability: Please Note: Mar Hall will accommodate a 20% discount on any further spa treatments, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner within your big deal stay. Available seven days a week - subject to room availability. Vouchers are valid until 30th April 2011.
