description is probably wrong - the large plates are 2kg so the smaller is probably 0.5kg
4*2+4*0.5+2*1.5 = 13 leaving 4kg = 4*1kg plates remaining which seems reasonable from the relative sizes.
so id guess true description was
4*2kg plates, 4*1kg plates, 4*0.5kg plates and 2*1.5kg bars

I think it's a good price. As I purchased from Tesco some bar bells on there own, when they had a promotion of 30% off. These came in at 5.65, I beleive. So for your paying 13 quid more for another 17kg of weight. Seem's a reasonable deal for me. Shame, I already have two sets now, and I'm after heavier weight of 5kg plates.

I bought a barbell for £12.24 and 2 x 10kg plates at £13.99 each from Tesco Beckton last night. Was going to order from Amazon but felt bad for potential delivery man. Turns out it was much cheaper from Tesco too!

These would be great for beginners or people looking to work out smaller muscles.

Unless ofcourse you just went to the gym.

I brought this set a few weeks ago for 20 quid...decent enough if you max them out....all you steroid munching beefcakes look elsewhere!

Imo not really worth using on barbell. take time to move which is annoying and space on the bar, few smallish a good idea but not 12

Can second not in all stores, just checked in Addlestone specifically for these. Anyone know any round Surrey West London way where these are on offer?

Cheers and good spot to OP for those lucky to get some.

Good price - don't expect to get big muscles with these buttons though, good set for ladies imo.

No good for barbell use, the bar would weigh more than the weights:w00t:
