Hmm wouldn't think the speakers are up to much @3W

Are you sure this has Freeview? as there is no DVB logo or full spec on the boxes I saw, making it seem like just a pc monitor.

i did a quick google search for this model and it comes back as a tv with some reviews of its freeview capabilities.

heat added as its a nice telly for the price and realy quite useful. wont buy it myself though because the resolution is too low. shame realy as i realy like it.
good find.
someone will be well pleased for your posting it.

is the sound on this the usual typical tininess of most flat screen tvs? Can anyone recommend a flatscreen 21" or smaller with decent sound? Have tried a sony and john lewis own brand and both about made my ears bleed!

IMHO all flatscreen tv's have poor sound. if I were you I would try to buy a set of Logitech X-210 Speakers (2.1) and connect them to the tv's headphone jack for a huge improvement in sound quality, they have been posted on here before for around £20-£25

Agree with no1john, your always going to get poor sound from the built in speakers. I wouldnt limit my search beacuse of this, just buy some external ones like those Logitech or these creatives get some lovely reviews (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/peripherals/speakers/creativelabs/51mf0395aa003.html)

i bought one of these last year and it wouldn't pick up any digital channels so check your signal strength is good before buying it. Fortunately Ebuyer just did a refund for me, which was nice. Looks fantastic and this is a good price so heat added

Many manufacturers don't put the Freeview logo on their boxes as there is a charge for using it.

Good price, have some heat.

Yes the sound is a bit low, but what do you expect, the quality of the picture is good though. Can't complain at this price

If you want good sound you'll have to get external speakers. These monitors simply don't have space for decent speakers.

Source of your information? Or are you just guessing?
#14
The box in Morrisons that I saw had no mention of TV on the box, only the s.e.l. mentioned TV.
DVB is not a chargeable logo but Freeview is (afaik).
#15
To be clear on my comment it is supposed to pick up Freeview channels but i was not able to because my signal was not strong enough.
#16
It definately has freeview because I'm watching it now :)

is this nationwide?

is this nationwide?

Think so It was in 2 stores in Leeds, Pudsey and kirkstall

bought one today, there is no freeview on the one i bought.Still a good price

IF people are giving facts not just guessing (big IF on HUKD!) then perhaps there is more than one model out in the stores? The OP has bought one and says it has Freeview so why all the doubters?

If it's the same model as I have listed it will have freeview. It doesn't say freeview on the box but it says DVBTV tuner on the TV and it asks you to scan the channels through antenna or cable when you are setting it up.
Why people keep saying it doesn't have freeview is beyond me because I HAVE BOUGHT ONE and IT HAS FREEVIEW, I'VE BEEN WATCHING IT TODAY.

thanks for all the ppl who confirmed what I've long suspected, that with better picture comes worse sound - which seems stupid to me. I really don't want to have to have speakers and a tv sat there, just seems like one more bit of kit i have to buy. oh well stick with the tube tv til it blows up!

thanks again guys.

Thank you to this site, I purchased one of these yesterday. I confirm that it does have Freeview, and is excellent value for a spare room etc.
#24
good price

heated!

Fixed wall bracket is only £2
#26
You're all idiots. Just buy it and use it.
#27
I know people are leaving comments about does it have freeview or not,, I bought one myself and scanned for ages but still no luck with freeview, but I don't worry about that I just use a freeview box and works perfect, some people get freeview and some don't. I am happy either way with my tv.

I bought one yesterday and it is deffinately freeview. I recieve all digital channels available to me in West Cumbria and also the anologue feed from my sky box via the RF co-ax (my sky box is in a different room and the output is fed to numerous TV's via a 8 way amplifier)
I can only assume the people who can't get digital on here have either set it up wrongly or thier signal is non existent/weak. You are given the choice during set up whether you want to search for Digital & Anologue, Digital alone or Anologue alone.
I can understand the confusion as the sales woman at Morrison tried to tell me it would not recieve Freeview as it did not say Freeview on the box but after doing some research i concluded she was talking rubish and did not have a clue what she was selling !!
This is a great tv for my kitchen and the sound is perfectly acceptable for a kitchen. You are hardly going to have one of these as you're main TV are you ?

The same TV is over £50 dearer in Dixons/Currys
