I prefer Loratadine for hayfever relief, which is 59p for 30 days from these guys and arrived last week..

The Loratadine is made by almus, which is owned the same folks as boots, so you're basically getting for 59p what you'd buy in boots for £8.06! :)

Going on holiday and react badly to insect bites. Are either of Loratadine or Cetirizine any good for this - anyone know?

You can buy a 30 day pack from your local chemist for about £2.50 (Euro Chemists do them for £1.99). Ask for the generic ones - either loratadine or cetirizine based are available.

Are Chemist Direct a part of Play.com? Their checkout is remarkably similar if they are not.

Personally I wouldn't touch ChemistDirect with the proverbial bargepole:

I use cetirizine to stop insect bites & heat rash itching, makes you drowsy though but not too bad on holiday. Suggest you also get some Lifesystems Expedition 50+ insect repellent, the only one that works 100% for me.

Usual price for these is like 60p, at the end of summer as low as15p for 30. Not sure why they have put the price up so much.

I saw these before for about a quid!

I can't even use them, just gotta live with it

I don't understand your comment. Reading the thread on MSE, it seems most experiences are positive, some negative. Not a huge deal to say, 'wouldn't touch them with a barge pole'.

You must be reading a different thread to me then, try looking at the comparitively recent posts (say over the last couple of years).

I didn't know much about the feedback and ordered a variety of items from them a while back, some items arrived, some didn't, no mention of where they were. After emailing them they confirmed that they were out of stock and that i would get refunded.

Not a huge problem, but i would definitely think twice about ordering lots of different things at once. Never had any kind of issue with chemist4u and i've ordered from them multiple times.

BTW, £1.71 per pack is not a good price for these pills, that's around what you'd pay at your local pharmacy if you ask for the generic product.
