Why the cold votes?
#2
8000:1 contrast ratio? That's as high as many 50" plasmas O.O HOT!
#3
contrast ratio is excellent
#4
No worries mate, some people just vote cold for no reason, but if it's a good deal then it does eventually get hotter as the votes pile in.

In this case I'm guessing some are voting cold because it doesn't have a DVI input. If you ask me it's a good deal and I'm voting hot as the rest of the spec is good, the contrast ratio is excellent too!

Another hot vote.

hot, some knob prob pressed the wrong button

it looks like 8000:1 DFC is dynamic contrast ratio - did sound very very high for a tft!

Hi, I just ordered this. What is the warranty period for this product? Do I approach Tesco or manufacturer if things go wrong?

It's most likely a manufactures warranty of 3 years.

How does this offer compare with fujitsu-siemens-scaleoview-d22w-1-f?
Which offers better value?

That one is 22" and has a lower contrast ratio but it has DVI.
This one is 19" has a huge contrast ratio but with no DVI but also cheaper.

umm.. does d-sub mean its a VGA connection?

Yes

Its not 8000:1 natively, its just a marketing gimmick.

After buying a £20 DVI cable I can't notice the difference between DVI and VGA so I wouldn't worry about it. Also I lost 10hz refresh rate. Limited to 60hz now.
#21
You can't get better than £94!! Heat added.
#22
Nice.....£96.47 delivered using the 2 hour slot and £2.59 Quidco

I notice a huge difference but that being said its only noticeable as I have both, DVI is far sharper on colours as its a digital signal wereas VGA is analog.

And also it depends on the monitor, used a 19" Dell one before for a few weeks and didnt notice a difference on DVI or VGA(both were bad)

Massive difference IMHO between DVI & VGA and I didn't think the Hz refresh rate came into it for DVI TFTs :-D

Cables should come free, not £20!

Hi, I just receive this monitor. My dell inspiron 6000 which has 64mb ATI radeon X300 graphic card. I need to set the screen to 1440x900 resolution which currently is not an option on my laptop. Has anyone encountered this problem? At the moment the external screen view is distorted - photos are distorted, fonts look awful at my current default laptop. I might have to returned this monitor and never to venture into widescreen LCD monitor again if I can't find any solution. Please help!!
#35
bit drastic, no? NEVER?
#36
I mean until my laptop dies and time to reinvest in a new PC...
#37
This has been out of stock for days, expire the bloody thing!
#38
Out of stock at the minute but voted HOT
#39
Some ass-paragus's don't look at the tech specs, they just assume a 19" monitor for £97....I can get one from lidl for £94 and then vote cold!

This looks hot as Eva Longoria to me ....well maybe not that hot, maybe annelise hesme!

Use your Laptop Screen for your Laptop this is more suited for a P.C.
