I saw these in Comet and thought "who would buy one of these?!".

I guess the falling price proves no one did :p

Ebuyer have 19" screens with HDMI inputs for around this price so it's nothing special, plus they look reasonably attractive...

Yes, because plastic isn't flammable at all.

i bet the Tv after long use will start to let off a nice woody aroma as the wood gets hot! Your house will smell like a green peace activists dream!
#14

Wooden TV's............it's the future. :)

Personally I think they look fantastic, much nicer then black or silver shiny plastic.
I reckon in 2-3 yrs time they will be 'fashionable' and everyone will be buying them.
Might put a a few quid on at the bookies, to go with me bet that Tottenham will finish 5th!
#16

God I can't wait to have Grandkids.

"In my day, TV's were made of wood" :p

Our black and white TV in the 60's had a wooden case, so it's hardly a new concept. This one does look as if it's half finished though.
#20
Could paint it black

I have this TV, never got round to posting on here, was planning too. It is truly awesome, the wood i think looks great in real life, for 139 you cant go wrong- Freeview and HDMI- The pictures great after you've fiddled round with the settings, id seriously suggest buying this for your bedroom or something. Looks great with the xbox ;)

Wood-effect plastic, I think you'll find. The 80º viewing angle is very low, 160º is more usual on a TV.

Yes, and 19 inch wood........................... i'm sure I saw a website that had those sort of pics on it........
#26
Personally i'd only go for one in a nice notty pine tongue and groove with a cork and veneer edging combo. Anything else is a compromise in my book.

No, it's real wood. And viewing angle is 80º either side of centre, so "as usual" :)

Yep, it's real wood. They do ash and beech ones too. I looked at getting one of their monitors before now, but went with a different one in the end. I think the concept is awesome, less plastic in the world has to be a good thing, but to each their own
