£200 is still a bit steep to pay to drive a fancy car
could you not just go to a high-end car dealers and look for a test drive?

No.
#5
they check your bank account to see if you can afford it if you want a test drive :)
#6
Oooo tempting tempting, but £200 is still a lot of money and 75 miles isn't going to get me very far. Boo hoo.
#7
but I want a Maserati...

There HAS to be a insurance clause or a deposit to be paid.

Hire companies are not going to let any Tom, Dick or Harry go off in a 70k+ car without covering themselves.

Use a bit of cop on, if you hire a Punto for a week they take a provisional £300 quid off your credit card!!
#11
I know it sounds expensive and 75miles doesn't sound a lot but this is an incredibly expensive car and insurance is expensive so if you take all of that into consideration it is a good deal for those that really would like this kind of experience

Don't flame me just my opinion that's all

Loosers? Is that people who set things loose?

Maybe you mean 'losers'. Nice deal to hire a car for a day. Your comment is ridiculous.

The words 'basic' and 'language' should not be capped up, and only one explanation mark is needed. If you are going to make a comment about someone's post, you may want to proof read it first.

I would hire out my Aston Martin DB9 for that per day

this kills it for me... so basically you decided to open her up "a bit" and the engine goes bang and then they say it's your fault.. hmmm

11. Any damage as a result of excessive high speeds, over revving of the engine, racing or dragging will result in additional charges for any required repairs.

12. All of our vehicles have internal WDS diagnostics. In the event of any major system malfunctions; clutch, gear box, engine, etc... the diagnostic information will be used to determine exactly how the car has been driven whilst on hire. If any form of driving abuse is apparent, please refer to Point 11 of our Terms & Conditions.

also best not to go over the 75 miles. (Might get expensive)

15. Additional miles over the allocation amount are charged at £2.00 + VAT per mile

Considering how much a track day in one of these would cost, and all you would get it 3-4 laps, probably 10 miles tops, this really isn't a bad deal. Haven't checked out the T's & C's, but there is very likely something to cover their ass if you wrap it around a tree or other car.
#32
Thats what i mean they prob buy a few of these in at 40k and charge £500 a day to hire them out..
sounds like a good idea!

If the engine is warm then this is so unlikely as to be almost not worth considering. The risk is that, like most of the motoring population, the individual gets in and repeatedly redlines the thing from cold. That presents a serious risk of damage. This is one reason why nobody should ever buy a performance car which is ex-hire/fleet.

Funniest thread in a long time!!

(Please note the 2 explanation marks)

So it's not for a 24hr day as it's delivered at 9:30 and collected at the 'end of the day' ? hmm I wonder what the 'end of the day' is...

75 miles is VERY limited.

Not even luke warm from me!

Totally agree!!!! But I will use more than one EXCLAMATION mark!!!!!).

This deal is ruined by the fact that there are too many conditions, get a stone chip or curb an alloy and you will be paying for it for the rest of your life. Good idea, big con, if anyone is daft enough to do it (and I'm still tempted!), I'd advise going over it with a fine toothcomb when you get delivery. Make sure that you highlight ANY scratches and dings (no matter how small!) and if possible photograph them. I saw a consumer program a while ago where companies were scamming thousands out of customers renting out high performance cars with unreasonable T&C!

Their website say it's a 12 hour hire.

Just spoken with the hire company to see if its a real deal and yes. The voucher was only really for mid week and targeted for the Midlands but they will try and deliver nationwide and any day. They will extend the 3 months as well if it gets too booked up as it's gone national so to speak!
#39
Seems like a repeat deal to me. It has been offered on Groupon before at £200, and at LivingSocial at £189. They have London offices, so possibly if you're in the capital you can ask them to deliver to your home..
