might be a good christmas prezzie for my parents, thanks very much!

I don't get how the rrp is £600?! Looking on the website an advanced purchase for 1 night B&B is £159, golf £45/spa max £150 each...must be one hell of a bottle of wine!

As a golfer, this is a better deal for £239 per person:

# Two nights accommodation in a Fairmont Guest Room (additional nights accommodation also available)
# Full Scottish Breakfast in The Squire restaurant
# A guaranteed tee time for 18 holes of golf on the Old Course
# 18 holes of golf on The New Course
# 18 holes of golf on The Jubilee Course

I posted a groupon deal at it was colder than the weather.
People on here have had or read too many bad reviews on groupon

Ummm 18 holes of spa treatment sounds interesting. Might be worth a look.

This is a terrible deal, given the above!!

Golf!
In the snow?
Stayed in one of the Fairmount hotels in Canada (Near St, Stephens I think). Top notch. Had a guy playing the bagpipe evenings as well which was a nice touch and generally nice. Breakfast was Fab!

where can you get you're £239 deal from?
Me and my Dad have talked about trying to play the old course for a while now. He turns 65 soon and this would make a great present for him (and me!)

I've stayed in this hotel, it's a nice hotel although I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there unless I was a big golf player

i stayed here in June this year when I won a competition. It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and the golf was amazing, Not sure I would want to stay there at the moment though because the employees there said it is one of the coldest places in the country to be at.

if you want to be pampered though and have everything taken care of (at a price) including someone coming to run you the perfect bath it is great.

the unlimited wifi is a bit misleading though because you have to pay for that!

No way this is worth £600. Where do Groupon get the rrps? Is it legal?

I can believe it is that in summer. I priced up the 3 nights and 3 rounds of golf for 2 I had there and it would have been over £2500 (granted we stayed in the executive suite not the standard one).

the round of golf, in summer, is £110 per person and the Spa treatments would be similer or more easily.

Yeh - but that's a guaranteed 'tee time' on the old course - you will still have to pay old course green fees

damn, if only if this offer was on in october i would have saved a ton! went for 12 nights paying the full rrp

To be honest that is still pretty good. You don't HAVE to play the Old Course. And if you want to play at the most famous course in the world, the home of golf then at least you don't have to go through the ballot so you can plan your stay... and after all it's only £64 before the end of Feb. Bargain! Which means just over £300 for 54 holes of golf and accomodation!

Gonna have to have a word with the wife!!!

Maybe that's how they can afford to discount it ;-)

That £239 price including the Old Course is amazing, looking on the St Andrews website there isn't any tee-times left in April so that is a little rubbish.

i was just kidding, i would never pay full price for that, even at £199 thats still a lot.

is this deal still available anyone know?

Scotland is so far away from anywhere else in the UK I'm always put off by the travel cost on top
