178 degree viewing panel. HDMI. Component. This TV looks great and is made exceptionally well. It also comes with a good quality picture, speakers and some great media features such as a builtin card reader with Compact flash and SD.

Classic designs from the 1950s were the inspiration for this model. Using a basic concept based on molded veneer and a wooden back shell, the design integrates modern techniques and smooth, flowing lines. The combination of retro and modern should appeal to young urban professionals; this is a TV suited both to a wide variety of personal spaces and to business environments.

lol, good review here: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/03/28/review_hannspree_hannslouge/

but only dimensions for the 26"
#15
i had a hannspree 32" HT model and was pretty good, i had ti for a year, my mum now has it on her wall still going strong.
#16
I bought this TV as a 26" model for this price exactly 12 months ago! It's a great telly, and the remote is a good looking ergonimic backlit shape too, which is often overlooked. Hanspree are an excellent make for LCD screen, one of the biggest suppliers ansd OEM suppliers in the PC area.

If you were to open yours up, you'd be impressed by the quality of the electronics, if you knew what you were looking at. ;-)

The audio was also highly praised in reviews of the time, another thing often overlooked iin modern TVs.

looks ok for the price.. heat added!

Beauty is definately in the eye of the beholder - I think it looks bl00dy awful!!
#19
Quite possibly the ugliest LCD TV i've ever seen. Really cheap so i cant vote it cold, but i wouldn't want this if i was offered it for free.
#20
Got the 26" version last year. Fantastic value, a good reputation and Hanspree generally give a two year guarantee. the style takes some getting used to, but my daughter loves hers.
#21
I bought the 32" version last year for this price. It looks much better in the flesh, personally I think it's quite stylish. This is a great TV and am very pleased with it.
#22
Don't buy from Aria i had major problems trying to get a replacement handset for my TV ,Crap customer service

*** am on a dial up line *** can someone else add the P&P thanx

LOL! Is this where you found this tv the 80's? On dial up man?! Who has dial up these days, aah the days of listening to the modem squeeling at you like a commadore 64!

I feel like playing some Wham! now...
#24
My friend got the 26" version of this the last time it was on HUKD, its not a terrible tv but there was noticeable ghosting when playing games like fifa.
#25
Will this play .avi's or mp4 video from the built-in SD slots?
#26
Heaven forbid you have to deal with Hannspree customer service. I have a 37" Hannspree panel that has faulty VGA and HDMI inputs. Its taken two weeks for them to organise a collection. Then had to chase them for an update. TV was returned to us last friday with EXACTLY the same problems as when it left!
#27
Just noticed, this does not have Freeview!!

but great if you have cable or Sky
#28
I have a Hannspree 32" for the past 3yrs still going strong and its mostly used allday everyday aswell recommend the brand :) or maybe i just got a lucky tv
#29
got this same one from misco last year great picture quality with the xbox and to be honest you dont really see all the wood at the back
#30
If I had the cash, I wouldn't think twice about it. Looks great if you ask me- retro, tacky brilliant.

I totally agree : it does

no films via sd card, only music or pictures
#33
I have this set and and it is Superb! I use it for a spare TV and for the PS3. Picture is great, tbh it's better than my Sony Bravia 52". Has loads of connections on the rear panel. Sound is not terrific but overall a great set.
Worth noting it can't be wall mounted and requires a wide TV stand but everyone comments how nice it is too.

A great buy for the price in my opinion.
#34
Very ugly tv set that if it was £100 i might consider it.
#35
For a cheap 32" this is a good price
#36
What are they on at Hanspree central? You can just imagine the scene:

"Nice TV guys, but we're trying to capture the young urban professional market here. These guys are discerning, affluent and style-conscious."

"So we should make it look like an oil-filled radiator yeah?".

"Cool".

"What about round the back where you can't see it?"

"Wood veneer of course! Do I have to hold your hand on everything?"

"Sorry boss."

Good deal though. Those crazy drugged up hippies, I loves 'em!
#37
I had the 26" version..... it's retro looks appeals but output quality was poor, I had my Xbox 360 setup and it was very dark even with contrast and brightness settings up.
#38
I also had one in the 26" guise. Interesting TV but the lack of 1:1 mapping using it for the PS3 killed it off for me.
#39
This TV is fantastic, picture perfect have had it for one year now and is wicked. Good price too ! Def good buy! Its not ugly it is retro!
#40
Good quality set, good price. Cant say its nice, but knowing someone with a 42inch panny plasma in an antique styled tv cupboard, this must be a good compromise for some.
