Delivery charge on a second sodimm is only 99p so you could buy 2 for £32.98 (£16.48 each) delivered.

Don't forget 2% Quidco.

This is about as good as it gets for laptops; there is hardly any choice when it comes to speeds.
I have recently seen DDR2-800 for laptops but I don’t think current chipsets support this speed!

Use www.crucial.com/uk 's memory finder to find out if this is the right RAM for your laptop

And for price comparison, ebuyer have this same RAM for £20.21 +del

Dont have the laptop yet. Its an Advent 8112 Ive ordered. All i know is that it has 1gb of DDR2 ram. I dont know what the max available is, or whether its a single stick or 2 512mbs. Does anyone know or could have an educated guess?

Dot It support iMac?
#13
Depends what iMac it is.

Considering that Dell will charge you £100 for 2 GB of RAM, this is a bloody bargain!

If only this laptop had 4 memory slots... *evil eyes*

Desktop memory is the same price. 1GB Kingston 667mhz DDR2 Desktop memory. Perfectly good memory for those not needing high performance gaming memory:

Here's a link to the full spec of that Advent laptop. 2x 512MBs unfortunately, so you'd have to take them both out to upgrade to 2GB.

Hope that helps

Ordered a pair for my MacBook :-)

For those who would like to check the compartibility with their Macs, I'd recommend installing MacTracker (freeware) which contains all information about all products of Apple Inc.

Cheers.

Aye, it will be. Linkage here for the full specs, but as with the Advent, its two sticks of 512MB so you would have to take both out in order to use 2GB.

Apparently Value Ram's arent recommended for Dell Dimensions according to a Kingston Sales Rep so I'm not so sure anymore. Has anyone used these on Dimensions?

I've used this in quite a few Dell laptops without any problems. YMMV.
