My local only stocks it's own sugar

Is your local quite small? Our store stocks BIllingtons, Whitworths and Silver Spoon too.
#3

#5
I'll let you know more details (and more deals!) tomorrow, I was just leaving work when I saw the advertising on the side!

i have to say that for some reason, the morrison's sugar has a different texture/consistency - takes just as good though.
will be buying tonnes, well kilos, of this though. heat to be added!:-D
#13

Some people will post anything to get heat or rep.

Deal of the century, hold me back, 25p off a bag of sugar.. FFS.

This site used to be useful before the supermarket watchers arrived.
#15
A moderate deal as you can often get this size sugar for 69p from Wilkos, Poundstretcher/Instore etc

Fair enough it's not exactly the "deal of the century" but it is a very good deal, because almost everyone needs sugar.

And as I said it's Half Price because sugar is currently 98p (and around the same in other supermarkets), not 25p off.

also on top of that there are families who probably use quite alot of sugar too who are struggling like hell to get through the week who might save a few quid by stocking up. WE ARENT ALL RICH!! 50p is 50p

good post, im off to stock up for the year (4 bags a month = 48 bags a year = £24 saving, how is that NOT a deal !!)

Exactly! We use quite a lot of sugar and will almost definitely be buying 4 or 5 bags, and why not? You won't get it cheaper!

Rep for you good sir!

How do you use 4 or 5 bags:w00t: we're lucky to use 1 a year and end up chucking that away, good deal for those with an extreme sweet tooth though
#20
we have 6 tea and coffee hungry people in the house and we have lots of tea vultures that visit, goes like mad :)

Haha! I drink quite a lot of tea and eat a lot of "healthy" cereals with quite a bit of sugar added!
We've almost finished a 1.5kg bag we got from Poundland in November, most of it was eaten by me :P
#22
Very good deal not seen it cheaper. Will be stocking up,thanks for post.
#23
This is a great deal. I make a lot of home preserves like chutney and jam, they require a large sugar content. I also do a lot of baking and get through a lot of sugar so this will make a significant saving for my family.
#24
I think it's a great price for sugar....nice one.

Is the beet sugar ie from UK or cane sugar? If cane is it free trade?
#31
Time to get brewing!
#32
I think you'll find its beet. How can people use so much sugar, there are eight of us and not a complete health nut or anything but we rarely use a bag a month???
#33
Its a sweet deal :p but then again my local Manchester Superstore do 1kg Tate & Lyle sugar for £0.53:?

Is morrisons sugar any good in taste, sweetness and what is the expire date.
#34
Inti

About 2 years for white if stored in the correct conditions
#36
its 49p off
1/2 price from 98 p per bag
be careful if using self scan
i bought 2 and was only reduced 46p as offer
a 52p overcharge
Customer Service said say they are aware of the problem and looking to fix it - no signs on the tills though telling people to come and collect their overcharge if they didnt notice it !
Shame they dont do a double refund and keep product on overcharges ;(
and yes signs say limited to 6 per person / order
nothing to stop a few trips in though
#37
The signs in my one said limited to 3 only :-(
