When you blast these cheaper chicken breasts with spices and herbs it's difficult to taste the difference. I guess you can argue about the hormones they pump into the birds, but to me they're the final touch to the seasoning. ;)

its not the taste its the texture , the cheap chicken its like biting through plasticine
#8
Good price..........but its minging, pumped full of growth hormones.

Some people like that. They get used to cheap meat, and think something is wrong when they get decent meat.

We have our own chickens which are free range and eat only kitchen scraps, fallen fruit, grass, etc, and gave some eggs to the mother of one of our kid's friends. Apparently she threw them away (she didn't tell us this but we heard it via our kid), as she thought there was something wrong with them. The yolks were too yellow / orange for "proper eggs" and there must be something wrong with our chickens. I wouldn't ever give them one of our birds to eat.

Use of growth hormones is illegal in the EU.

Just where are you getting your misinformation?

The rubbish the illiterate masses on here spout about food is never-ending.

Ok, ethics aside, I'd check to see whether these contain added water/salt.

If you're going to buy it cheap anyway, it is a hot deal.

If they do they must declare it on the packaging by law, assuming this is pre-packed.

Lol.. I live in the Netherlands, and I think this is the only meat that is slightly edible.. If you think of this as Dutch pork, then wait until you taste our pork >.>

Another good reason to eat Quorn or other meat-replacements ;)
