Great drop at a great price, get 1L for less than the price of a 70cl bottle on special

Still had over a dozen at my local Morrisons (Crowborough) unsure if it's nationwide

Very handy stuff with Christmas just around the corner.

Why are people voting cold? It works out at about 14£ for 70cl. Jesus you cant get any decent drink for that much these days let alone a Quality drink. Hot Hot HOT :gift:
#6
Some may be voting cold as you could buy a whole lot of WhiteLightning for the same money :w00t:

Not nationwide, It's not on offer in the Stirling Store so it must be a case of English bias again :whistling: :p

Many thanks

Got some of this in the cupboard. Never been brave enough as i don't like the burning throat off whisky! Never drank anything of quality though as i remember drinking Jack was real harsh. Is this?

Don't know myself as I don't drink anything brown, but my dad's a bit of a spirit connoisseur and this is the only whiskey he'll touch, he can't stand the stuff generally, but likes this. And he's a Scotsman!

Just told my father-in-law and he's just checked in his local Morrisons in Bradford and there aren't any there...not voting either way...he probably just walked past them. Actually, he said there were no 1 litre bottles at all.

Damn I thought this was bells....

Good price, though the £40 previous selling price is higher than you'd normally have paid for a1l
#14
Cheap, but not voting as this is one of only three malts that I can't drink!

I think it's the unmistakeable note of peardrops on the nose which reminds me of being very very sick on peardrops as a kid! Can't do pear cider either, but real pears are no problem.

FWIW Ledaig NAS and Tesco "The Great Glen" are the only other malts which are IMHO undrinkable, but for entirely other reasons.

Rufus.

Try Macallan, smooth, easy to drink whisky that I don't mind drinking (generally dislike whisky)

JD is as smooth as a mouthwash

None in my local. Only 0.7l bottles for £19.99 (reduced from about £25)
#17
Seems a good deal but the original price is a bit of a joke.
#18

This is the white lightning of the single malt world, overpriced over what are superior malts, not voting cold though

£40 a litre..........who are they kidding.

Tbh all the supermarkets just seem to be plucking figures out of fresh air then halving them.Trying to make us think we have got a bargain...........:x

Hi,

Has anyone been lucky enough to find this in the Bristol/Somerset area? I checked my local this morning, and they only had the 70cl bottles for £19.99.

I would really like to get hold of a litre bottle, as it's my grandad's 91st birthday next Saturday, and he loves the stuff!!
