A few £ cheaper than the deal posted a few days ago.

Remember to add through link provided not within product details as it does not apply the reduced rate.

16MB Cache and SATA 3GB/s

Looks to be the same code:
eBuyer - HDT721010SLA360
Scan - HDT721010SLA360

Damn - just ordered two the other day and paid £57.39! At this rate they'll be free by Christmas!

In that case it compares about 8p cheaper lol.

Sorry didn't see the other post when i searched (seems to be a common issue nowadays regardless if using advanced or not).

Think this might come down to peoples preferred site. Does ebuyer have any issues. I think they were ok, except for the delivery carrier they used. But this was a while ago.

8p cheaper? than ebuyer... is it worth the effort?

What courier do Scan use? Might be the deciding factor - Ebuyer use City Link :(

Actually I think the warranty might swing it.

3 yrs on Ebuyer

only 2 yrs on Scan.

go with Ebuyer peeps - not here for the heat, here for the deals.

Comes up as £58.52 for me (using link above), do I need to do anything else to get it for £56.91?

Ermm.

Have you ever tried returning things to ebuyer? It might as well have a 0 day guarantee, however with scan, you can deal with a human.

I think this is where it might be down to personal preference.

Only dealt with ebuyer before for blank media, so never had the need to return anything, nor to ring them. So i can't comment on customer service, but it's always good to have varied opinions.

cheers

Isn't it a manufacturer warranty? Therefore it'll be the same - either 2 years or 3 years no matter where you buy it?

I have found ebuyer to be excellent on that score, actually. You have to use their messaging system, but it all works.

Scan too uses Citylink. In my experience of dealing with both over a long period i feel Scan is better.

I have this, bought it on Ebuyer about a month ago for about £62. Runs fast and quiet, using XP-64. So far no issues. I've had returns to Scan who have been very good at letting me know what is happening, nothing returned to Ebuyer as yet, but got the feeling it wouldn't be as good (6th sense and all)

Cheers

Absolutely right, Scan have an excellent customer service whereas ebuyer have had a rather poor reputation.
