Any ideas on whether this would be suitable as a PS3 HDD? I know it's 7200 RPM but what are the really issues with it being over 5400?

Don't PS3s take only 2.5" drives? These are 3.5".

No real issues with 7200rpm drives, except higher temperatures maybe.

Back in stock again.
#12
sorry if it's a stupid question, why is 7200rpm causing high tempature?
#13
it doesn't really cause high temperature, it just runs hotter than 5600RPM because its working harder
#14
ok thanks, bought one from ebuyer though, free delivery :)

CAUTION: Apart from Aria being the pits as a company - this drive comes with only a 1 year warranty - it is OEM product

"This is an OEM drive, and as such comes with a 1yr warranty."

I have bought OEM drives before with much longer warranty than this !!

Cold for me
