Just spotted this on the "Today Only" page. Seems a good price for those of us with Free Delivery from Scan. The Hard Drive itself is about halfway down the page of offers!

NOTE: Do not click on the item, and then add to your basket, as this will add it at the slightly higher normal price.

To get it for this price, simply click "Buy" next to the item on the "Today Only" special offer page.

This is the page for the "Today Only" offers:
http://scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

Here is the page with the specs (do not buy through this page though!):

PRICE UPDATE: This has now changed to £86.95

------------------------------

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT CLICK ON THE ITEM AND ADD TO BASKET AS THIS WILL ADD THE HIGHER PRICE. SIMPLY CLICK "BUY" ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE "TODAY ONLY" PAGE NEXT TO THE ITEM!

I was considering this but its quite big. If you want something slimmer consider the 1TB western digital external hard drive from ebuyer. Its the same price. Or cheaper to those of you who don't have free postage accounts with Scan.

Yes the WD Drive is smaller, but there is a 5yr warranty on the Maxtor drive versus a 1yr warranty with the Western Digital Drive.

But are Maxtor drives reliable?

The WD has vents, the Maxtor looks sealed

Well Seagate owns Maxtor so yes, they are very reliable. The Maxtor only has usb though, no FW. Better off going for the Four plus version
