What is inside the box?
Can we pull the HD to put it in a computer?
Cheers.

You can do that on any hard drive.
This will be a 2.5" Sata drive.
No idea how thick it is so it may not fit into all laptops (some only take 7mm).

It may or may not be a conventional sata drive. Many 2.5 usb3 sata drives don't have a conventional sata internal connection. Ask someone who has done it with this drive

Not true, not all are standard sata

Thanks for information. I have been thinking about getting a cheap external drive and using it in a PC.
Do you know if there are adapters for the non standard connections and is there a name for the none standard connections?

These were posted a month or two ago - I bought one at the time and I'm sure someone posted that the internal drives were easily removeable, might be worth searching and seeing what was said at the time...

Could i use this on xbox 360 for save games and downloading games ?

For someone not very PC savvy, could I use this alongside the internal hard drive to save games such as Minecraft etc? My son's hard drive is only 64gb and is completely full, really not sure what's best to get. Any help really appreciated

Does anybody else have horrendous problems with the eBuyer site?

I ordered one of these about eight months ago from eBuyer and now I get a message saying that my account is inactive when I log in and can't place an order. It has happened a few times in the past few months.

I can never remember my password. Had an account with them for over 10 years but only ever logon to by things (no need to logon to brows) so never remember as so many passwords to remember and always have to use new passwords when resetting.

Should work but you will probably need to copy your game data over to this drive and then have Windows re-mount it in the correct place. It's not a job for some with limited technical skills I'm afraid.

KeePassX works for me.

I submitten an 'eNote' but because my account is inactive, I can't see any replies or the original message I left.

It's almost as if they want to make buying from them as difficult as possible. When I searched my e-mails to find my login details, I found about a dozen password resets so I think I have had this trouble before - I can't think of any other reason why I would have kept requesting password resets when I have a password manager on my computer which works on every other site.

....I appreciate that, but when somebody states it's for a computer as opposed to a laptop, I'm sure you can see the reasoning for my reply....

The problem with the 360 is that it limits itself to 32GB with external storage devices. So even though it is only 1TB the 360 will only use 32GB of that data

Has anyone tried one of these in a car?

OP - Putting the Mfr ie. Intenso in the title might help. At least then we'd know it's not Seagate.

I use Lastpass to remember all my passwords for me. Tis brilliant. You can use the browser based version for free I think. I paid for the version to use according tablets and my phone for ease and I normally NEVER pay for apps!

Ive got one of these too.. Fast as hell, and works a treat. It also comes with Mac NTFS drivers.
Ive partitioned mine into 2 x 500Gb partitions. One in NTFS and the other in Mac Journal for Time Machine, and it works a treat.
The Mac Journal partition for back ups and the NTFS partition for reading and writing to from both mac and PC.

A handy LED glows blue if USB3 is connected, and white if USB2. I Paid £50 at the time and thought that was good value!

Would definitely recommend this hard drive, I use it to watch things on my TV, awesome value.

Only downside for me was that the cable broke after a couple of months (just kept disconnecting) and I had to buy another one from eBay, luckily they are only cheap so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.
#38
Very good external hard drive with a 3.0 usb connection that is rapid.
Use it for pretty much everything, movies, tv shows, music, software, backups and more!

Only gripe is the cable could be longer

The postage that so many of these shops charge ppl in NI removes the deal part :(

Not singling out this retailer.....Aria tried to charge me £15 for postage of a graphics card last week.

Thankfully some shops are changing this horrible policy (hehehe....okay a little persecution complex creeping in)

Hot :)

Excellent unit. Postage will take this up to around £43. Short cable but otherwise very good.
