Fast approaching sub £40. Crazy.

I think the 1.5TB drive is better value for an extra £10.
#3
I'm loving watching these prices drop every day!

OP - may I suggest you add the retailer's name to the title? Make for easier viewing ;)
#4
samsung, 1year warranty, just like toshiba/hitachi. niiiiice

At a sacrifice of being 5400rpm

I have one of these drives and have been very happy with it

where does it say 1 year warranty? I thought it was 36 months?
#9
36months, but with Scan and not Samsung.

Might be worth waiting for the larger 7200RPM F4's, the 320GB F4 is meant to be faster than the F3.

If you're willing to wait a bit - scan may have another offer on it - there was one that expired today, and many people picked up 1.5TB for £46.

Monitor the scan "today only" deals...

It might be better value but this drive has won a good few awards for the sheer speed of it. It's faster than some enterprise drives even! I ordered 2 a couple of days ago at this exact price. Still - the deal is unbeatable. Voted hot.

Can you order these the day after before the new offers are up? I.e. this morning (Friday) for the Today Only for Thursday?

Can people do me a favour - I got one of these a month ago and did not get off to a good start with Samsung as the thing refused to sin up for me and had to be returned after only 4 weeks!! I am NOT badmouthing Samsung BTW before anyone says anything!

Anyway, if you could download speedfan here and when running, click the tab that says S.M.A.R.T. then click the box that says [Perform an in-depth on-line analyses of this hard disk] and see what the results say.
Both previous and new drive come in at 96% fitness and 98% performance.
BTW this software is pretty useful and worth having so everyone would benefit..
Thanks.
I will be interested as to what others drives show.
