Ok. Was in the market for a new 1TB hard drive after i tripped on my 400gb external drive's power cable and it pulled the drive off the table.

Saw this today on Scan's "Today Only" section.

Its the beastly 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1 (7200). I was ready to buy the F2 the other day for £1 less and im glad i held off.

Next Cheapest is a few retailers around the £61-£63 mark. Ebuyer has this at £63.

So, expect this to expire Thursday at 12pm. Scan updated the Today Only section early today (Wednesday 15th July 09), so the deals are ready to be seen.

Usual trick applies. Go through AVforums to get free delivery and click "Buy" from the Today Only section.

You need to look on the "Today Only" page, if you buy from the product page you will pay the higher price.
Total £65.53 incl delivery should be quoted (free delivery is only a maybe).

Its a given to most people on here. They know how the avforums free delivery works. And if they didnt, get over there and make 20 posts over the next few days to earn the discount.

I doubt very much id pay the £7.99 delivery charge scan throw at you.
I'm not so sure about these drives now after looking at the reallocated sector count from the S.M.A.R.T data on a 1+year drive which is 19x higher than on my oldest SATA drive (5+years) which has a count of 3 others have a count of Zero and all have 2to4 times more run hrs.

So at the very least don't buy one from eBuyer with a years OEM.
Free delivery for me too sine on the same industrial park where i do my shopping.

3 yr warranty.
Weren't these going for the £50 mark a month or two ago? I remember seeing the Hitachi 1TB on ebuyer for that price a little while ago.
Got mine today at midday. :)
Mine came today also
