Would this be suitable for a PS3, if so can anyone let me know how to do this upgrade/installation or if they have tried with this hard drive?

Couple of reviews there that don't exactly inspire too! :-(

I heard some complaints about these Samsungs, might be a reason behind all these price drops time after time. My friend had it's Samsung whole hard drive wiped out, out of no where.

I was going to buy this as is a good price, no doubt. I think there is a dodgy batch around that they wanna get rid of, otherwise this Samsung (not dodgy ones) has got good reviews.

ignore ebayer reviews, they remove bad ones.

Ive been running the 750 for a month or so now with no problems (touch wood). As with all new drives caution is the best thing. Ive had maxtors and westerns go on me so these reviews dont scare me really. Luck is required sometimes...

That is indeed true, as I posted in a thread the other day - I recently sent a review of my monitor which was only moderately critical, and it never saw the light of day.

And I also posted in the same thread that this kind of practice should be changing.

Why don't you both do the responsible thing & take them up on it? Instead of posting the same negative comments in eBuyer threads. All the best with it

I don't give a monkey's about eBuyer and not a very much more about some other site that I am not a contributor to. Unlike you, not everyone else here will have read every thread here either.

Unlike most things, the "responsible thing" to do is very clear in this sort of situation, and that is not to pander to devious retailers who mislead their potential customers, and perhaps also to ask questions of those who find it part of their remit in life to chase after something that on the face of it is, "no skin off their nose."

Anyway, just what do you mean "Take them up on it?" If I had been aggrieved enough by the poor item, I would have happily "taken them up" as far as the County Court, however the item was not THAT bad to render it unusable, and I was able to resolve one particular problem at minimal expense and inconvenience to myself, although not all purchasers would have been able to do so, hence my review that never got posted up on the site. It is all the more surprising that my review was discarded, as it was rather tame - it implies to me that the only reviews likely to be posted are directly complimentary ones, and as such I now give only superficial credence to ANYTHING posted on that site now, it would merely point me to look to other sources to verify matters.

When I read posts like yours, I realise then that there obviously IS some reason to post such comments perhaps MORE actively than I have done, it must expose some very sore spot.

Perhaps rather than negatively slagging genuine contributors off on here, then if you want to earn some brownie points with eBuyer for whatever mysterious and elusive purpose, then here is a suggestion, why not illustrate the integrity problem has been resolved with some examples of recent posts on eBuyer that DO illustrate shortcomings of the products or the company.

I do get one gut feeling wheneer I see someone get so workedup about something - What's it to you anyway?

Have you got a major shareholding in the company or are you just an employee? It all seems to contradict your previous posts where you also criticise eBuyer, most odd.

Now, seeing as you are seem to be so pally with eBuyer management, why not get them to answer such posts on either or both sites, or perhaps on the eBuyer site itself and tell us what specifically they have done to remedy this insidious practice? "Talk," especially through a third party is very cheap, and my own experience illustrates that this was still going on only a matter of weeks ago. No doubt in time we will see how well this is resolved, and until such time, then eBuyer won't be no.1 on my list of preferred suppliers.

nihcaj, well after that outburst, it's clear who's coming from where & who's getting worked up ;-)

I believe in giving companies (people/anybody) chances to redeem themselves, especially if they offer to change their ways :)

Let's call this quits shall we, while I'm still in a good mood
