I'm not a seagate fan, but a 1TB External HDD for £41.99 is a bit of a bargain.

Scroll right down to the 'External Hard Drives' section on the today only page, and add directly to basket from there.

As always, free delivery when signed up to AVForums/Hexus.

There's also a 1.5TB Samsung external HDD for £59.99, so even cheaper per GB for those wanting a little more space.
And a 2TB Buffalo external HDD for £65.99.

Really good day for HDD's at Scan :-O

Is this drive externally powered ?

Or is it USB ?
#26
Pretty sure it's not usb powered
#27
I ordered one of these but have just cancelled it after having seen the reviews on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B001EAUKSC/ref=cm_cr_pr_link_1?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&filterBy=addOneStar

I know all drives can fail but one of the reviews was from someone who gave it 5 stars but came back 2 years later to say it had failed too. Maybe I am being too cautious but it worried me!

Says "Simply plug in the power and the USB cable and you’re ready to go." so I'd assume mains powered.
#39
Was considering this but just read the amazon reviews link someone posted and been scared off I think
#40
All drives out there have buyers who experienced failures, but that's a surprising number there on Amazon.

Whatever, I've had one of this exact model for well over a year and it's been fine, even when used continually for days, weeks or months sometimes.
