They whack on the postage though, don't they? I liked the sound of the powered USB hub which was under three quid. Once postage was added it was over a tenner! I'll stick with Amazon, I think.

You seriously couldn't have expected free postage on a 3 quid item? Especially from a company like Scan.

Maybe from DealExtreme, but not a company that sells proper branded stuff, and not cheap knock offs

hot, cheap and decent drive

No, I didn't expect free delivery, but I didn't expect it to be £6 either!

Not so bad for a proper courier..

Of course - they could send it by carrier pidgeon I guess.... Or risk the tender mercy's of postman pat
#14
Or I could get one delivered with Amazon Prime , which I just have. Also ordered a 1TB from them for £89.99, should get it before one on Tuesday.

Got one of these from scan on Friday seems like a good drive but beware its not the black one as it shows you on there website it’s the silver one cant see any difference maybe somebody else can shed some light on that also beware it comes with a 2 pin power adapter not a 3 pin and there is no converter in the box. So if you pick it up from the shop check it while you are still there not like I did lol but you can’t really go wrong with Western digital

I ordered this last night as I wanted it in black and it has the model no. for the black version, will be receiving it on Tuesday.

Wish I don't get the grey.
#17
I still haven't ordered one for myself yet but if I do the get the 2 pin adapter, Argos sells a 2/3pin converter for 69p I believe...

thnx for the heat guys :)

free delivery from avforums for me :)

wouldn't help. It's a deal of the day, would be gone by then. If you do want a black one, check out their returns procedure and if favourable, order away.

You can regularly grab the 1tb drives for £69 now and a caddy for about £10, the 1.5tb drive in maplins at £129 is a better deal in sheer value stakes.

Received my drive on Tuesday and it was a grey model with a 2 pin plug, rang up scan who were so RUDE which I didn't think I would get, but they are sending me an adaptor.

I did try to explain to them that they are selling european stock but they only tried to cover themselves up by blaming the supplier.
