Wedding Bells
Your Wedding Day is one of the most important milestones of your life, and getting it right is of the utmost importance. But sometimes a busy lifestyle can get in the way of planning the ideal wedding. Often the most difficult part, (aside from finding someone to marry), is choosing the right location. Well today we're offering you a fantastic venue package that will set you on the right course for that gorgeous white winter wedding. See below to find out about the venue and what the package entails. Peruse the hotel's website and feel free to contact the wedding planner before you decide. Most importantly, make sure to invite Groupon along to the big day! We're excited for you!

And before you ask, this IS a two-person deal: another magical first from Groupon.

About The Venue
Woodborough Hall is one of the most beautiful venues in Nottinghamshire. A place of absolute tranquillity and charm, lovingly restored to its former glory. The Hall is proud to offer the ultimate atmospheric experience suitable for any peaceful countryside estate. It's also steeped in history - there are records of a hall being on the site dating right back to 1086. The present hall was built in 1660, then Mansfield Parkyns bought it in 1852 and made some exceptional restorative changes.

How much is entertainment? From the looks of the description the guests will have none included.

£2 grand for a room, some food for 50 people and an overnight stay for the bride & groom ... and this is a bargain?! If I had two grand to splash I'd take the better half on a holiday and get married on a nice beach with a couple of locals as witnesses.

If people do want to get married I really don't see the point in spending thousands of pounds on a single day just so other people can get dressed up and be wined and dined. For the record, I am 19 yrs into my marriage ... one that cost us about £400 for the whole day inc dress, cake and pub reception!

If/when my teenagers decide to get married I will help pay for them to go on holiday to do it so they have something to remember ... and so I don't have to go!

i think its a good deal..and the lack of entertainment is a good think..means you're not landed with the 'house band/dj' ...

it is we paid more than £4K on just food for 120 guests (would have been £6-7K if the hotel didnt want to negotiate)...then again we were original going to do the same as you until the families got involved.....i paid for our wedding.....only major expense was the food and the hire of a very large cruiser on the thames...

we saved where we could as i hate some people who as soon as you mention the word wedding they double/triple/etc their prices....room was free...I did the order service (much better than the pros who wanted a crazy £600!!), wife did the flowers (better than the pros who wanted a crazy £800!), she made her dress as she is small (it better than the pros - looked similar but cost a fraction of the £3000 the pros wanted!!), we used a friend old expensive antique rolls royce (he drove it)

still spent about £8K but would have been £15K if we paid for everything and pros got their way...honeymoon was about £6K including spending money

its not about the money though...its about what you want.....if you want to keep it cheap thats fine.....personally id go for a reasoanbly nice wedding but try to drive down costs..what nice is is up to you....we kept ours fairly informal...people dressed up but we didnt have name plates (that was another £200! but dont see the point)

just steer clear of tacky weddings....like the premier inn one.....better off in a registry and go down a nice local pub which serves decent home cooked food (not microwaved!!)
