Half gallon water bottle BPA free. This is the cheapest I have seen this type of water bottle. I bought a BSN branded one on ebay which is identical to this one for £10 which I thought was a deal at the time. Apparently not...

No doubt these all come from same assembly line. I can vouch for this though. No leaks and is ideal to hit your water consumption for the day.

How different it is from tap water in terms of BPA content? Is it free from all other chemicals? This water looks like scam to me.

Still contain a lot of other chemicals. If you doesn't heat you don't need BPA free. Glass is the best.

Just to clear the whole BPA thing up, BPA free (Bisphenol A) is the hazardous chemical added to a lot of plastics know to cause estrogenic effects in the human body (research papers back this).

However it is also really important to look at the type of plastic that bottles are made of because all plastics carry some risk, whether its a microwave meal container, a bottle of Pepsi, they all can potentially leak into the fluid or food.

Best thing is to google search, types of plastic and which are safer. This bottle I believe is PET which is number 1. All plastic containers will have this number to tell you what they are made from. PET (1) is generally safe so long as it is kept out of the sun and no hot fluids are stored inside. BPA free is not the god send however it is a 'nice to have'.

Hope this helps.
